This may sound surprising, but I don't have any trips planned. We just got back from camping at Ft. Wilderness. It was a quick trip, and the putting up and tearing down of the tents made it feel shorter. But it was so action packed, it evened it out. We did the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I love the show. So cheesy, so funny, especially after a few of the all you can drink sangria.![]()
Our camp site was good and bad. Good because it was directly next to the comfort station (rest rooms/showers/laundry) and bus stop. And bad because it was directly next to the comfort station and bus stop. While it was nice not having to walk to go to the bathroom, you could hear other people heading to the rest room all night. What was worse was the big road right by us. The buses weren't the worst. It was the drunk idiots in a golf cart driving by at 4 in the morning the first night. They'd drive, skid the brakes, then honk the horn. All up and down the road. If it wasn't so cold, I would have run out there and beat them upside the head with my shoe.
We got lucky and saw Chip and Dale at the campfire, made some smores, then took off before the movie started. Instead, we headed to the beach to watch Wishes. When it was over, my DD2 said "I want to see it again!"![]()
I think next time we either get a pop-up or we stay at a hotel then hang out at the Fort all day. I just sleep horrible in a tent. I am a lady of luxury.![]()
