Tagless & Formerly Tagless ... It's PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!

I was just watching something on tv about local and organic farming. I would love to "eat locally" and learn how to preserve more of my own food (living in a more temperate climate would help that cause!). They said if every family in America ate just ONE "local" meal per week, it would save something like millions of gallons of fuel saved in transport costs! Produce in this country travels an average of 1,500 miles from farm to store...

Think about that. Eeew.

.

I'm hoping to have a garden this year. At least a small one. Your statistics really are

I know what you meant but I just couldn't pass up that opportunity!;)

.

I only did tomatoes this year. My DH can eat the little grape tomatoes like candy, right off the vine. The larger ones I made into sauce and put in the freezer.

The year before I tried pickles, which came out ok but I still have like 8 mason jars of them in the fridge!!....I need to learn how much to plant vs. how much yield I'll get.

Speaking of pickles...I am craving fried pickles really bad. They are so good. :goodvibes

I have never had one but I've heard they are really good! Do you make them yourself?

.

So, hey....look at us chatting away on a Saturday night!

Notice also we're the only ones here....:rolleyes1

Oh I wish I had the patience for a veggie garden! My grandma used to have one when I was a kid and I loved to eat the green beans fresh!! But any more its hard enough to keep up with the few little flowers we plant each summer - last year I got so lazy by August we were overgrown with weeds!!

I'm here! We try to have a big garden, but last year when we went to Barefoot Landing, it was the hottest and dryest week of the year. So, no garden left.

It is a big commitment. That's why I'm going to start small this year.

If your shy is clear tonight is supposed to have the biggest and brightest moon. (The real moon. Not someones hinney:lmao: )

:lmao: It was very bright tonight. I told DH that I felt like I should put on some sun glasses so I could look at it. You could really see the details of the craters.

We had date night tonight. Dinner at Bonefish, saw "Yes Man" at the movies, then stopped by the Melting Pot for dessert. Tomorrow we hit the circus. Action packed weekend.

I have a nice weed garden growing in my back yard. My specialty is sand spurs (a must for any good Florida yard.)

My daughter (6) can really kick some boody on that game!

I am so addicted to Mario Kart!! I got it for Christmas and I can't stop playing it!! I even went and got a second remote and wheel for the purpose of multiplayer, my family and I have so much fun with it!

(Oh and btw, I can kick a little boody on there too! hehe!)
