Former President Bush changed the dates to conserve energy. Falling back was late last year, too.

Daylight savings was moved from the first weekend of April to the first weekend of March a year or so ago, as an energy-saving measure. I guess the less time we have to have our lights on, the better! It was also moved on the other end from the last weekend in October to the first weekend in November.

So yes, it's a bit early this year. Get used to it!
