Mean Queen, sounds like you found yourself the perfect job. Not many people can say they love their job and the hours.

I do feel lucky. In a few months, when I'm frustrated by one of my projects, I hope someone reminds me of that. I'll just be happy to get a regular paycheck again.

I'm helping at at daycare in the morning 8-11am. The lady got a new baby and Wed's are her busy days. I love taking care of infants.

That sounds nice! Infants are great, especially when they belong to someone else. You just get to cuddle and love them without the sleepless nights.

Okay - so Soarin and SeeWhat are roomies - I didn't know that. I need to do a better job of keeping up with you all. BTW - I saw Knotts Berry Farm on an episode of Paris Hilton's New BFF (yes, I watch smut) and it looks really cool. It's on the list of possible things to do when (if) we go out there.

We also had the same idea of Mean Queen's hubby as far as trying to get on a game show. I've always wanted to do Price is Right or at least be in the audience. It would also be cool to get tickets to the taping of a show - like Ellen.

Knotts has some awesome rides. Especially their rollercoaster Ghost Rider. It's a really fun park. That's awesome that you want to get on a game show! Tell us when you get on so I can root for you I'd love to be in the audience at Ellen or the Tyra Banks show or something, that'd be fun.

OH!...on a more positive note, I will be down there the weekend of Jan. 24/25. The surprise party for my dad is the 25th. If you can get away for an hour or so sometime on the Saturday, let's do Starbucks!

The high school where I work at is having a silent auction on Friday. A potentially nasty snow/ice storm is heading our way for....you guessed it, Friday. Cross fingers please that it won't be too bad.

If we get a delay the basketball game(and auction will still be on). If school gets cancelled then everything will be scrapped. If things get scrapped the teacher who planned all of this will have a breakdown of some sort.

LegoMom, good luck with the house sale.

Ice storm coming. I probably will lose power, water and heat. The woodstove in the cellar heats the floors and the room above it but not the house. I live in a wooded area so chances of limbs falling on lines are good. I should get containers of water ready. I like to be able to flush my toilet.

My biggest concern right now is my dog, Dega. She is not feeling well. She puked up a lot of stomach bile yesterday and I mean a LOT. We only gave her a little food last night and I noticed she threw it all up this morning. She had some water this morning. If that comes up, it's not a good sign. I'm concerned of a blockage. My husband didn't notice that she puked last night and gave her more food this morning. Yesterday when I came home, for the 1st time I discovered they started ripping apart an arm to a recliner. It's in the room with their crates, not my living room. They have never touched a piece of furniture. They were alone in my house every day when I was in Florida for a week and didn't destroy anything. Why all of a sudden eat a chair now? I have a Dr appt for OMT this morning that I'm trying to keep b/c it's already been put off 2 weeks.

SadieDog, I hope your baby is ok!! I don't have enough experience with dogs to even venture a guess, but I hope it's something the vet can remedy.

Ice storm coming here too. Blar. Kids are home from school today. There is already some ice out there but the our official Winter Storm Warning starts at noon today so I think they are more concerned with the getting home part! Plus our district encompasses 9 towns and there are lots of small dirt roads that the buses have to use. They are the worst in an ice storm (trust me on this.......I know. ).

I had to reschedule my OMT. I really wanted to go not just for OMT but for them to look in my ear too b/c it has been bothering me.

Dega threw up all her food from this morning and is moving slowly. It's time to call the vet. Could be anything like a blockage, perforation or something to do with the pocket of fluid she has on her belly. I was going to make an appt for that anyway. Dogs found a wooden ruler that must have been in the recliner. I only found 3 long wood slivers from it. I'm afraid the rest could be inside her poking something it shouldn't. So much could be wrong

ok...so I think I have become the unofficial - official Christmas decorator this year.... Mom didn't want to do it this year...but Christmas isn't Christmas without the decorations!


SadieDog - I hope your doggy is going to be ok ...I know when we had to take Chloe in when she was really sick and losing hair, we were really scared, but she's ok now.
