Hmm...Well, apparently a warm, tropical place like Florida truly IS Heaven, because there are no mint M&M's around here!

Ok, it's not like I've checked all the different stores, but I just got back from grocery shopping and the local joint certainly didn't have them!....grrrrr. It's a big store, too; semi-national chain and owned by Albertson's. Am I doomed to a holiday season without such bliss?!:confused3

:scared1: There's no Target near you? PM me your address. I just bought 4 bags today because they are 2 for $4. I can send you a bag to enjoy. I'm serious. DH will freak when he sees how many bags of M&M's I bought for myself. He hates chocolate mint. :confused3

Woot woot! I have nothing planned for the day. We have a cold front down here, the high is 61! Though it'll be back up in the 70's again tomorrow.

I'd love to see the happy holiday hat boxes. :rotfl2: Ok, feeling giddy and haven't even had my coffee. :surfweb:

We went and looked at a house this week we were interested in. We aren't planning on moving, but we saw a house for sale we thought we really liked. The pool was amazing! But the living room and family room were both so small. We'd have to rotate guests from each room to avoid a fire marshall citation for being over capacity. Plus, the master bath only had a shower. I want a big jacuzzi tub or at least a big tub. You've also all turned me off from wanting to sell my house with all the problems you're having. :rotfl:

Well, it has officially snowed here in NH! I'd love 61 right about now. No snow here at my house, but the far northern county got a few inches last night. I did see it flurry here on and off all day, though. Yep, it's that cold...

You are too kind!! The nearest Target is about a 45-minute drive... AND the WalMart we were supposed to get nearby has just decided not to build after all (would have been 6 miles!!...:guilty: ). I'm not a huge fan of WalMart overall, but just having someplace like that to go to when I need something like underwear for my kid!!....that shouldn't be a 2-hour expedition, just to get underwear!

Man-o-day LegoMom, you got peole sending you chocolate left and right. Don't eat it all at once.

:lmao: We did this last year and loved it. I guess we'll have to do it again this year.

Here's ours: http://www.elfyourself.com/?id=9530592576

Good morning all! Whatcha doing today? I worked until 5:00 and at 6:00 me and DH went to the Early Bird Special at Kohl's. He scored way better deals than I did. :sad2: We had breakfast at Bob Evans. Yummy!!! I'm heading off to bed pretty soon --- no real plans for this evening.

Yummmm. Bob Evans. Did you have the sausage gravy? That's my favorite.

We went to Target and did our Wishing Star shopping. Every year we have DD pick out a kid from the Wishing Tree to shop for. This year, we also picked one for my littlest, though she doesn't get the meaning yet. I did have to explain to my oldest that asking repeatedly for stuff for herself kind of defeated our purpose of shopping for someone else. :confused3 Though she really did a nice job picking stuff out for both the girls we chose. I also found a few deals to put out for Toys for Tots. Now comes the hard part, buying for my family. :sad2:

I remember doing that ElfYourself thing last year. Definitely amusing...I'm on my Mac right now and I can't see all of your wonderful Elves. :(

I just went out to find out my favorite scrapbook store closed down. Grr...I went to Jo-Ann's instead. Love their Disney section!

Hey!.....anyone around??.....or I am still the only one without a life!

I did the local craft fair today. Lots of great vendors, lots of browsers, very little buying going on. Oh well. It was fun just to get out and socialize with folks from town.

Tonight I'm settling down with a glass of wine and the "Northern Exposure" DVD that I just got from Netflix! I used to love that show (many moons ago DH and I had aspirations of living in Alaska - we spent a summer there and fell in love with it. Then kids happened and in-laws have a way of laying on very thick layers of guilt for even thinking of making such a move with "their" grandchildren!! ). Wow, ok, so that was a huge tangent... Anyway, I still love anything to do with the Last Frontier! Oh, and in case you're wondering, moving to Florida is OK because the in-laws actually take vacations there (not to mention WDW...).

Well, I'm done rambling...it's somebody else's turn to talk for a while!popcorn::

What scrapbook store was it? One of my best friends is a major scrapbooker and works in a store in Orlando. The one she used to work in closed down, though I can't remember the name for the life of me. She's been in scrap magazines and on design teams for scrap sites. I, on the other hand, have no patience or organizational skills for scrapping. Though she tried hard to get me into it.

I spent today Christmas shopping and trying to find a present for my grandfather's 80th. I got him a digital picture frame keychain. This way he can have pictures of all his family with him without taking all of his wallet space. We also went to Build a Bear and made Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and his girlfriend, Clarice. So cute! Can you believe Santa was already at the mall? I always remembered him showing up after Thanksgiving.

ALASKA? Are you nuts woman? I'm sure it's beautiful, but if you think it's cold and desolate where you are now.

Which shift are you on now? Do you have to work Thanksgiving?

As of last night I was still on third, but Monday I start first (7-3). I'll do that for the next 6-8 weeks then go back to third ... I think. So much can happen between now and then, who knows where I'll end up. I just hope my boss appreciates my flexiblity.

We are off Thanksgiving and the day after. I'm not brave enough to go shopping the day after -- how about you?

Normally, I love going shopping by myself the day after Thanksgiving. But since we'll be at Disney this year I don't think I'll brave DTD. I may do some online shopping in my room because the deals are usually worth the $10 internet charge.

I hope you adjust to the shift change well. It's so hard to keep switching your schedule around likd that. Hopefully, your boss does appreciate... and eventually reward... it.

It was called "Scrapbooks" and it was in Orange City. That one and one that used to be in a mall near me closed down.

I never shop the day after Thanksgiving. :scared1: I heard that DTD is already extremely busy.

I don't have a life.

Well now, there ya go!....if we lived closer we could commiserate over some chocolate!

Sadly, I don't have any in the house at the moment (that I'm allowed to eat, anyway....!:rolleyes1 ), or I'd commiserate all by myself!!:rotfl2:

HELLO everyone.

And a SPECIAL Hello to Leah & PaMom!!! Seems like I'm never around when you are. :wave2:

Happy Holidays! :santa:
