Well, hurricane tracking maps go in the stores today. ​

Doing better now that my DD has left for school. Man, she can be difficult to be around during her time of month. Like she isn't moody enough sometimes but this time of month it's even worse.

Storms can be so scary. My friend moved to TN and she has lots of tornado threats.

Woo hoo! I remember those. We were in Wilmington, NC for Bonnie and Bertha, and happened to ride out Jeanne while staying in Madeira Beach, FL! We had a couple other close calls in NC, so the running joke in the family was NOT to invite us down during hurricane season...

(ok, you're right...this new smiley placement is really messing me up!)

MeanQueen, I really loved your photos and your trip report! You have a beautiful family and it sounds like such a fun weekend. You said your weekends were winding down from the heat, but will you do the waterparks during the summer?

Oh, to live "that" close!

Hey SadieDog. Sounds like your morning just got a little better. You've just gotta love teen girls and PMS!! A match made in...well not Heaven!!

As far as storms go. I think I would rather deal with a hurricane than a tornado. At least with a hurricane you have time to prepare your home as much as possible and then make the decision to leave or stay. We do stay somewhat prepared all year. But our recent move I don't know where everything is. So it's time for me to get busy.

Yeah, I have family in TN too and that is where we are going for vacation this year.

We get a rare hurricane or tornado warning here.

We got hit pretty bad with Isabel a few years ago and luckily no real damage to the house, but lots of tree branches came down and we had no power for about 5 days.

We drove to Memphis TN for Christmas. What a LONG drive from Maine. It took 2 days. I wanted to cry when it was time to get back in the car and spend another 2 days driving home. Pure torture and sometimes the kids in the backseat made it "interesting." They have a tornado warning siren that goes off every week. That thing is LOUD.

We drove to Memphis TN for Christmas. What a LONG drive from Maine. It took 2 days. I wanted to cry when it was time to get back in the car and spend another 2 days driving home. Oh wow, Memphis is waay down in that little corner! I would cry too probably, the way my boys can bicker. My family lives in East Tennessee, near Kingsport. It's roughly about 500 miles from us. We're spending most of our trip in Gatlinburg and going to Dollywood, which is another hour and a half from them..

We too have a siren that is technically for the nuclear power plant but they use it for tornadoes too. They only test ours once a month, thankfully!

I do like TN, at least the parts I have been to. I'd like to go to Nashville one day though.

I am very much into Wii right now...my all time favorite? LUXOR which I have been playing like everytime the kids walk out of the room I change the channel and turn it on. They come back in and I am like a little kid..,"Just one more minute...as soon as I die I will turn it off."

I love all types of video games. I actually got up early and did Yoga on my Wii Fit. I'm so proud of myself! I plan to do aerobics and strength training later, but I have a dentist appointment.

It's been 2+ years and I am still waiting for the tag fairy.

I guess you don't say enough stupid things. Join us, we'll help!

We rarely do the water parks. It's too hard with a 2 year old. But we may try one out this summer.

I just know they all thought it was a waste of $ and would not go there again. I have also heard other people love it. Hope your family enjoys it.

I did something this morning that I haven't done before breakfast in quite a while.

I know...ODDis me. I have a very busy day and actually did the whole crock pot thing.

I seem to have 15 posts per page and I clearly remember when I started I had 10 to a page. Do you all have 10 or 15? How is one to know if they finished a whole page or not if they don't know how many is on a page and if we are all on the same page or not?

My dear friend had 2 boys and she is very thankful. She said if she accidently has a 3rd, she wants another boy. I think I have scared her with my stories.
