I don't know. He called me the next morning wondering why our oldest child was up watching tv at 3:30 in the morning.

He was teaching summer school and the next day when he told the other teachers what happened, they took up an offering of chicken and potatoes at the lunch table so dh would have a meal to serve the kids. Funnily enough, he never fed them that for dinner again.
At least he tried. I will say for his part, he was trying to find something to do with them (baking the cookies) to have them all in one place.
Good idea on his part. He's quickly learned that when the children outnumber you, there's always a chance for an uprising.
