Gee it's quiet in here....I can't figure out why no one else is up and DISing at 6:45am on a Saturday??....






Today is the start of the week I've been waiting for! The in-laws arrive later this morning and we'll start 4 days of doing all sorts of fun stuff. Wed., Thurs. and Fri. are crunch time - finish packing, get the truck and git her loaded - and next Saturday we're on our way to Texas!!!

Good Morning.

Today is my brother's b-day (the one that lives near me). He and my son slept at our camp last night. We are going there later to bring him a cake and gift. I might even go swimming for the 1st time this year. The lake will probably feel pretty cool. We have not had the temps to warm it up. I would like to bathe the dogs today. We will see if that happens.

Smiley, the weather today is actually NICE. I don't think we will get any rain and it will be 80. At least that was what they were saying yesterday. I hope it didn't change. Showers and thunderstorms back for tomorrow afternoon.

Morning all! I ended up at another concert last night with my DD9. Someone gave us 4 free tickets to see the Demo Lovato concert (from the Disney Channel show "Sonny with a Chance" and "Camp Rock." David Archuleta and Jordan Pruitt opened up for her. It was a night of screaming girls.

Tonight, DH and I are going to the Rays game. There's a Daughtry concert after it. So it's an American Idol week for me.

And for all those up North, I'll send you a little heat now if you can send me some of your cold in a few months. That way we all end up with weather for the season.

Hey, yall. I was up early as well, but I was looking at food porn. . .

Mean Queen, dd10 would have been all over the Demi Lovato concert. Especially if they had added in Selena Gomez, but she woulf have been happy with Jordan Pruitt. All of us would have gone to concessions during David Archuleta.

I had to go to the alpaca farm and feed/clean up all by myself. Normally DD & I go to feed/clean up the animals when she is with me for the weekend(that was last weekend & next weekend). This wasn't our normal weekend to help out but the owner needed help. The gal who interns on weekends at the farm & the owner went to a fleece show about an hour away. The owner has someone else come & help when needed, but, the other guy had a friend that was in town so he couldn't help.

It took just a little over an hour. After I had to go home & take a shower because it is so muggy & humid out. There was no way I could change into the spare clothes I brought along.

Hey everyone! I just back from an awesome motorcycle ride to Forks! It was cool to actually see it in person. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend

Mornin', folks! Well, it finally warmed up enough here that I wasn't freezin' my patoot off when I took my son swimming yesterday. That was quite nice. We had a great time. I'd had a very challenging week at work, and to just go to my Nana's with my Mom, relax and swim, it was so nice. I made my yummy seven layer dip and we had that with tortilla chips for dinner.

Nothing like junk for dinner on a nice summer day. Yum, yum.

I overslept this am. Should be in church right now, but am obviously on the Dis. Dh will be out of town all week monitoring test items for South Carolina's NCLB test: PASS. Good for him, bed for me. He does a good deal of the cooking at home, so I have a feeling the kids will see a lot more McDonalds this week than typical. . . I know, I'm a bad mom. At least I make them get hamburger, apple dippers, and milk. . .

Wow TK and kimmar. Ya'll are under some weather pattern. I hope it isn't this wet during the winter.

We have been cooler over all. mostly upper 80's and low 90's. At this point of the year we are usually at the Upper 90 low 100's. So I gotta admit.....I'm enjoying it. And as far as rain goes,A little wetter that normal. But over all I would have to call it enough.
