Thanks TK and SadieDog. You know, it was just material things. But is sure caused us a tremendous amount of anxiety. Knowing someone was in the yard was not a good feeling. It made us realize how vulnerable we are out here. Lets just say we have now taken certain measures to ensure our safety if anyone ever broke into the house. We just have 3 patrolling officers for a very large area out here. And if our wonderful Governor has his way, that number could be reduced.

Well, I'm glad to hear you're taking measures to ensure your safety. You know, I don't even know what you look like, but I am horrified at the thought of something happening to you!!!!

hey found you guys - sorry I ahve been posting much I've been very busy...
dd's party went pretty good - it rained though
so how is everyone![]()
Doing good, thanks!
Glad to hear the party went well, even if it did rain. It was absolutely pouring here today, I had no idea it was supposed to, and we got quite a thunderstorm. At one point, DS asked me, what's that? Honey, that's thunder. (Usually he's asleep during big thunderstorms.)
...that's the BEST way to cook...![]()
I find it adds to the anticipation. Will it come out good? Will it taste awful?

I liked your long convoluted answer. That sounds yummy. You'll have to give us a review.
Well, the ribs were pretty good. I felt maybe I left them in the slow cooker a teensy bit too long. They seemed just a touch dry, but easily fixed when you poured some of the juices from the slow cooker over it. The glazed veggies came out quite well...I would consider using a little more of the spices next time, I mostly tasted the brown sugar.
