Thanks TK and SadieDog. You know, it was just material things. But is sure caused us a tremendous amount of anxiety. Knowing someone was in the yard was not a good feeling. It made us realize how vulnerable we are out here. Lets just say we have now taken certain measures to ensure our safety if anyone ever broke into the house. :thumbsup2 We just have 3 patrolling officers for a very large area out here. And if our wonderful Governor has his way, that number could be reduced. :sad2:

Well, I'm glad to hear you're taking measures to ensure your safety. You know, I don't even know what you look like, but I am horrified at the thought of something happening to you!!!!

hey found you guys - sorry I ahve been posting much I've been very busy...

dd's party went pretty good - it rained though :headache:

so how is everyone :goodvibes

Doing good, thanks!

Glad to hear the party went well, even if it did rain. It was absolutely pouring here today, I had no idea it was supposed to, and we got quite a thunderstorm. At one point, DS asked me, what's that? Honey, that's thunder. (Usually he's asleep during big thunderstorms.)

...that's the BEST way to cook...:thumbsup2

I find it adds to the anticipation. Will it come out good? Will it taste awful? :lmao:

I liked your long convoluted answer. :goodvibes That sounds yummy. You'll have to give us a review.

Well, the ribs were pretty good. I felt maybe I left them in the slow cooker a teensy bit too long. They seemed just a touch dry, but easily fixed when you poured some of the juices from the slow cooker over it. The glazed veggies came out quite well...I would consider using a little more of the spices next time, I mostly tasted the brown sugar.:thumbsup2

I'm here.

Where I grew up we had no police force. We had to call the State Police. *******************************************ZSzeb001_ZN

Now that is scary

...hey, mebbe she thinks he's s driver from ANOTHER PLANET.... :teeth:

:rotfl:

You are so sweet. And your meal sounds so yummy. :goodvibes

Woah. . . go to a game and there are 2 more pages miraculously here.

Well, I'll have to tell you all the rec ball drama this year. Let's suffice it to say I'm not a happy mama about the situation surrounding my yougenst two's teams. I don't have time tonight, because we have homework to do, but I just don't understand why parents can't understand that this is for the kids, not to rub their egos and flex whose kids are the best and whose families are more able to do stuff for their kids. It really just irritates me to no end and when I think of it, I get mad again. I'll get more into it later, probably after my visit to the town hall meeting Thursday night. When these parents let the focus go away from their children, and on themselves, I really get angry.

On the positive side, Sweetie's team won tonight.

And on a funny side, now anytime I type banana, I have to stop myself from adding that extra b. I don't think the smiley shows up if I type it :babnana:.

Nope. Doesn't work.

...moral of the story: don't leave your computer - EVER!

:rotfl2:

....:sad2: what WILL we do with you??

:confused3

AI is on. Gotta go. Woohoo do ya'll see Adam!!!!!:thumbsup2:rotfl:

I second WOOO HOOO for Sweetie and for Adam on AI. (Though more for Sweetie.)

We had a WOOO HOOO night also.

DD9 entered her school Science Fair and won. Granted, only 1 other kid entered out of the entire 4th and 5th grade. But I'm proud of her for doing the work even when it wasn't mandatory. She and the other child now go to regionals against the other charter schools in the area. She also got a $25 toy store gift card. I can't believe so few kids (and parents) entered. Her teacher said 6 kids in her group signed up but mine was the only 1 to do it. I really hope she does well Friday for regionals. :yay:

Mean Queen, this is wonderful!! :goodvibes I'm proud of her for going for it as well. :thumbsup2

Mornin', guys! I have a bit of a long day ahead of me, so I don't know if I'll get on later. We have a meeting after work today (they're usually pretty fun, so that's good), but I'm not relishing the thought of working until five. Fortunately, I've got my crock pot ready to go with a new concotion. Again, I loosely followed the recipe. :lmao:

Creativeamanda, I'm sorry that you are having to deal with the egos and one-upping. Very unfortunate, and not something I want to partake in either.

Mean Queen, congrats on the science fair! Your DD must be excited. :goodvibes

Hey Tink. I'm so happy you are back!! You have been missed. :goodvibes

Hmmmmm....for some reason my last post posted without being posted. :confused3 Oh well, mornin to you to TK. I hope you both have a good day. :goodvibes
