Have your inlaws been in town yet?

No, they're not coming to Florida after all. Just too much for airfare to come here now and then again in the fall to TX. We would have had fun doing stuff around here with them, but we understand. We're going to the zoo in Tampa this weekend and my MIL would have loved the manatee exhibit!

I love Manatees.

So.....Tell me about your new home. How far are you from town? I bet you are looking forward to getting in there and really making the place yours.

The house is SOOO cute!! It's perfect for us, size-wise. The whole place has been unoccupied for around 3 years so it's just needing some attention. The back yard is big and there's plenty of room for the boys' trampoline (not allowed here in the mobile home park...) and there are two trees that are just perfect for a treehouse!

There is also a small barn and an out-building that will be my chicken coop. Eventually DS7 and I will have a horse and a pony!!:yay:

The house & camp are about a 20-minute ride into town. Half of that time is just going down the loooong dirt road! Once you actually get to the highway, you're almost there. The town is quite large and has everything you'd need. Texas A&M University is there.

I can't wait to get out there and really settle down. Life has been so "iffy" here in Florida, it'll be nice to sit back and relax and set up housekeeping.

Good morning babnanas. :goodvibes

Hey TK. You are an early riser today.

Ugh. Unfortunately, I'm an early riser almost every day. Joys of transformation after having a child. :lmao:

:thumbsup2
[...although I don't know what 'metling' is.....:teeth: ]

Metling is what happens when TK types in the dark. Or when she's not fully awake. Equally as bad. :lmao:

Now that's pretty cool!

It's so cool it's H-O-T, HOT. :thumbsup2

I haven't been hiding. I've been right here. :rotfl:

The short story is......
Life had the audacity to become very busy.
The good news is....I think I'm going to survive. Maybe. My family.....maybe not. Why is it that the busier you become the less they are able to do for themselves? CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS? :confused3 PLEASE

Oh my goodness, I am having this exact same problem lately! I have a ton going on, and they get needier! YIKES! :rotfl2:

Harry Potter was AWESOME!!

I can't wait to see it. DH and I actually have a date on Saturday, I can't wait!

Hey, I'm very sorry for what's going on with your daughter.

I have to say, I'll be thirty this year, and I was certainly raised better than that child who thinks she knows how to use adult words with your daughter. I would never, ever have spoken that way to another child, never mind another adult! I don't get it. I really don't.

I could not figure out what that was! It looked like a big pile of something nasty. I was trying to think if it was cheesecake or something her face fell in. Butter never crossed my mind.

I used to eat butter straight from the packet when I was a kid. My mind always crosses it. :lmao:

It's a cruel irony that I have recently developed a lactose intolerance. :confused3

Hi everyone. It looks like my dad needs my help moving out his wife's things so I will be spending August in Washington. I'm going to miss my mom and sister a lot but I told him that if he needed anything I would help him.

Hope your thursday is going well

Good luck with helping him!

I'll be doing the wesite at the end of the month. I'm *trying* to stay on budget this month.

Let me know once you get that up and running. I used to be a consultant, and I'd love to know someone who is, you know what I mean? :goodvibes

Shall we start calling you Paula Deen? :rotfl::lmao:

HA!

You know what's scary? I didn't even realize such a thing could possibly be genetic.

Until my son tried it. And I thought O-M-G. It's me all over again. :lmao:

It may take some work...but ya'll are going to turn that place into such a peaceful place to call home. HOME.... LegoMom.... HOME :goodvibes

Good morning!!!!!!
Happy Friday!

:dance3:

Ok, "Paula Deen"....can I just say that I am really, really ready to have TV back??! It's not that I miss all the carp out there (which we don't watch anyway) but I love the Food Network and have missed it! I was wondering the other day why I seem to lack inspiration in my meals lately (I'm not a gourmet by any means, but I like to try different things). NO Food Network for the last 4 months!!:headache:

On a similar note, DH is going out to pick up our new-used stove today....Not that I wanted to spend money on a new appliance when I'm about to leave, but you also can't really sell a house with faulty equipment, kwim? The one we have now "works" but the digital temperature read-out is ka-put so you don't know what temp it is!! The one we're getting has a good old-fashioned dial.

.

Hey LegoMom. :goodvibes

Yay on the new used stove.

I wish I were going to the zoo with ya'll this weekend. I told hubby that just as soon as the weather cools just a bit we are heading to our zoo. We have been talking about heading to the mountains but that probably won't happen until this fall. Are you starting to get the idea that we don't like to do anything in the summer. (We don't) And then there is the next Disney trip. :confused3 For hubby and I, Christmas time is the only time to go. But that won't happen this Christmas....:sad2: So I'm starting to think about next Christmas. :woohoo: And sometime between now and then I want to take my DD for a mom and daughter trip. :lovestruc She is such a princess:
