Just wondering if I should mention that it's our 15th wedding anniversary on our room request? If not, how should I "drop the hint" at the resort without sounding like I'm expecting special treatment? It would be nice to get a little surprise (of course I don't expect to have the red carpet rolled out for us). Is that done?

Yes - you should definitely tell CRO when you make your reservation that it's your anniversary! They will pass it on to the hotel for you. It also wouldn't hurt to mention it when you check in. :D

My DW and I celebrated out 25th anniversary at WL in May. I made a point of having this info noted on ALL our ressies (room, PS, etc.). Not that we expected special treatment either, but I know occasionally something special MAY happen.

We had a wonderful time. At several restaurants, the CMs noted this special event. At WL, Randall (one of the concierge staff) sent us a huge plate of strawberries and whipped cream one evening.

Definitely mention it. Disney is all about MAGIC and 15th years with the same person is definitely a reason to celebrate YOUR magic! :)

I know what you are asking. I didn't want to just blurt out "hey its our 10th anniversary, just thought you might want ot know". I thought it wouls sound like I am expecting something which I wasn't but if they had time and did something it would b egreatly appreciated. So thiis is what I did.
When I called back to double and triple check things (which I do alot because I am a neurotic about that kind of stuff) I would say "I am sorry for bothering you checking on this ressie but its our 10th wedding anniversary and htis trip will mean a lot to us and I want everything to go smoothly and be special." That definitely gets the hint across in a tactful manner.

Have a good trip!

By the way, Illana, our head waitress on the Wonder, brought out a lovely anniversay cake with Mickey and Minnie on it and they sang to us. It was very nice thing they did!

Definitely mention it! And mention it again when you check in, and at the restaurants, and everywhere else. Who cares about tact... if you want something, ask for it!

Almont John, happy (early) anniversary! I think you should plan some type of special activity for the two of you. According to the official WDW website:

Q. Is there anything special I can plan for a birthday or special occasion?

A. A variety of activities are available at our Resort to help make birthdays more special and memorable. For instance, your family may wish to dine with the Disney characters at one of our many character breakfasts, lunches, or dinners. Call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463)† to find out more about how to create a memorable celebration for your birthday or special occasion.

If your activity is planned ahead of time, you will guarantee pixie dust for your celebration! Enjoy!
