I'm mixed, I loved last years but the food and wine one was a weekend like this, they sold 3 times the tickets, press got the food fresh an hour before paying members got in.. I liked the food and wine event but it wasn't worth the price for the quality and crowd. I might be skipping this one.

It does seem a bit pricey - wasn't it cheaper last year too?

No that was the price. It was worth it, there is a lot of food to sample and it's as much as you want to consume. Had a really nice, short and to the point presentation in the middle. But it was on a friday, reasonable sized crowd and the best care with some dishes even being prepared in front of you (and completed dishes). Food and wine was so far ahead, they had some many tickets they didn't' have seating for everyone, the food wasn't it's final recipe so more than half of it was way out there. press got in earlier to sample it fresh while everyone else formed long lines for the couple good things and most of it was just sitting around and if it wasn't it was a favorite.

So if it's going to be like the food and wine event, I'm not interested. but if it's going back to what the flower and garden version was I'm in..

Was the food an wine the same though? Anyway it seems worth it when it is small crowds and you get to talk to the chefs etc. not so much of mass buffet

If I hadn't been to the flower and garden version, I would have loved it... Minor differences mainly the crowd, the talks was more sitting there reading the handout to us, didn't really see the bigger wigs of the festival. There was a press event with the flower and garden later year but it was earlier in the morning and not part of the food thing. Maybe it was the intimacy and not having to wait long to get food and find your seat again because more people was more tables and things to navigate that I was missing.

I'll probably end up going as it gets closer if they aren't sold out, i'm just not rushing to make sure I have a ticket as not going will not be upsetting.
