We have a few people in our party that are not officially vegetarian, but they do not eat meat or shell fish. We are on the dining plan and are looking for veg. friendly restaurants with good choices. We tend to book buffets as there are the most choices there, but we are looking for other suggestions as well. They also do not want to eat fish at every meal, so looking for choices that do not limit them to fish. So far, these are our reservations:

Coral Reef
Chef Mickeys
Tusker House
1900 Park Fare
Norway
Boma

Any suggestions welcome :goodvibes

Mediterranean Restaurant in Epcot should be a decent choice as would Tangerine Cafe QS (Simply because this type of cuisine is generally good for vegs.).
Tutto in Epcot is great food and will have lots of pasta options.

But most importantly - Disney is amazing about making adjustments for vegetarians... my wife has never had a problem on site and she doesn't eat meat or cheese.

We also eat no meat and no shellfish and have never had a problem at WDW.

I cannot think of a single TS restaurant that does not have at least one non-shellfish pescetarian entree, or one that can be easily modified. (Like substituting a bechamel sauce for a lobster sauce.) So I think there will always be a fish option for you.

I also think that there is a vegetarian (no meat, no fish of any kind) entree everywhere too, even if not printed on the menu.

I have had the pasta entree at Flying Fish and it was wonderful. I've also had the vegetarian lasagne at Chefs de France -- loved it!

Do not be afraid to ask for the chef's assistance. More than once all we needed was some pasta with a non-meat sauce and we were presented with a fantastic pasta dish filled with vegetables and a fresh red sauce.

I love soup and I always ask about the soups. Many restaurants have completely vegetarian (no meat or fish stock) soups on the menu or readily available.

Most quick service locations have veggie options too. I especially like grilled sandwiches and there is a great grilled veggie panini at the Boardwalk Bakery, and at Backlot Express (DHS), and at Sunshine Seasons (The Land, Epcot FW).

Thanks for all the replies. Especially about asking for alternate sauces. Never thought of this. I knew I could count on the people on disboards to give good advice.:grouphug:
