Table Service Recommendations in or near MK

The day after we arrive (Sunday) we are going to visit Universal during the day and then go to MK because they have evening EMH. We currently have reservations at Chef Mickey's for dinner that evening, but after talking with a friend who just got back, CM was not very impressive. We've eaten there for breakfast and that was fine. We have dinner reservations at Crystal Palace later in the week so I don't want to eat there twice.

So...I am considering making a switch but I need suggestions for something around MK since we will be heading there after Universal. I am considering Grand Floridian Cafe, Whispering Canyon, O'Hana, or ???

Ohana!!! We did WCC and were disappointed in Jan would not go back. We also like Tony's in ther MK. If you have kids go to Chef Mickeys and then you won't have to stand in line to see Mickey. The food is fine.We have gone 3 times in recent years and everyone is happy with it.

I would reconsider getting rid of Chef M's. Even from my own trips, the experiences with food and service have been incredibly mixed. The constant has been the fun atmosphere and great character interaction, and that is what we are paying for when we go to Chef M's. For us, it is worth it to keep returning so that our kids are happy. They always love the food and don't care one bit about the service. I made the mistake of skipping Chef M's on our last trip because I was upset about the bad service we had received previously, and my kids were really disappointed.

Having said that, my family always goes to 'Ohana and we love, love, love it each and every trip. Never had a less than fantastic experience, breakfast or dinner.

We also love The Wave in the Contemporary resort. Feels (and tastes) upscale but is still kid friendly.

1900 Park faire was great, for something different try Kona Cafe at the poly.
