Table service meals around $100 for 4?

Does this exist? My Dh thinks we need more TS meals, but I think he's kidding himself with our budget. He thinks we can find more TS meals for $100. What do YOU think?

What do you typically eat? Do you want apps, entree, dessert, and a drink? Is this 2 adults and 2 kids or 2 adults and 2 disney "adults". Any sharing? Looks like you have 3 kids although you say it is only for 4. You could make it work but not at AYCTE or Character meals that's for sure.

I didn't count my 3yo because she always shares with my 9 year old (who has a metabolic disorder and eats very little at one time.) so it's 2 adults, 1 disney adult (who eats like the kid she is) and then my two kids who always share. I wouldn't want to do an AYCTE or character meal, we've already done them all and are doing one this trip. We don't do the app/entree/dessert ordering. We'd likely just get entrees, though we will order (non-alcoholic) drinks.

I think you could do it. Since you won't be doing AYCTE or Character then your "disney adult" can still order off the kids menu if you want.

I just looked at a few places and for starters Captains grill you both could order the strip (33) and the rib eye (27) plus a kids grill chicken strips (10) and kids cheeseburger (10). Kid's include drinks so say $8 for two sodas/tea leaves you with $88 before tax and tip.

Kona Cafe you could order the chicken (21) and pork (24) plus two kids meals (10) and (10) again lets say 8 again for drinks (it doesn't list fountain beverage costs) and here you would be at 73 before tax and tip.

Finally a review of a in park table service The Plaza much cheaper here. You could get the meatloaf (21) and any sandwhich (18 is most expensive) then 2 kids meals averaged to 10 each again (some are 9 and 1 is 11) then the drinks and end up at 67 before tax and tip.

If your 100 a meal is with tax and tip then it gets a little harder but is still doable as long as everyone is clear you are only going to spend $100 meaning you aren't both going to order the steak or won't be ordering an adult meal for the kid who is technically a disney adult but eats like they should.

There are actually more than you might expect!
Here are a few choices that should be close to your budget with no apps/desserts and a bit of creativity:
The Plaza, MK
50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci Fi Diner, HS
Splitsville & Bongo's in Disney Springs
Grand Floridian Cafe
Rose & Crown, Epcot

I find most entrees at WDW overwhelmingly huge; with few exceptions, I'm a salad and app or 2 apps for dinner eater. Which may explain my love for Spice Road Table - I love tapas. I think a lot of adult entrees probably end up in the rubbish bin.

You definitely want to keep in mind tax and tip. That's more than 25% on the costs.

That said, I'm sure the Plaza, Rose and Crown and my beloved Spice Road Table would provice plenty of food for that budget.

I think you could make that work anywhere you order off a menu. I think we've been close to that budget at Artist Point and Hollywood Brown Derby.

Agree with others - I think that is doable at almost any TS restaurant that isn't a buffet.

Via Napoli would also be a great choice. You could share one of the family style pizzas and still get salad for the adults and even a desert if you like for under $100.

I agree with what others have said - if you don't go with buffets (which, since you share, that wouldn't be an option anyway), it's definitely do-able.

Sci-Fi, Via Napoli, and Beaches and Cream (although the ice cream could put you over budget there if you get it, but I doubt it if you split them) are all great places to eat!

Take a look at the menus for the restaurants you are interested in. They're available on the Disney website and other sites like Allears. You can then see what food your family might choose. Keep in mind that many portions are large and you might be able to get two entrees and split them three ways. You can also order a salad and appetizer instead of an entree. TS is a nice, air conditioned break from the hustle of the parks. Hope you find a way to add a few to your plans.

To clarify my earlier post, and after looking at some menus, you can do this at almost any TS restaurant BUT you won't be able to order everything on the menu and some will be more difficult than others. Chefs de France is probably out, as are a few others. And an appetizer is likely to push you over the $100 point at many places, and once you include tax and a tip it becomes more difficult. In fact, if we are talking $100 for 4 people BEFORE tax and tip then you are really looking at places where the entrees are less than $20 a person. Those places exist, but you are more limited. Anyway, here are a few possible examples (in addition to Via Napoli, which certainly seems doable) assuming that you can go over when you include tip (and excluding appetizer):

Rose & Crown (lunch) - fish & chips ($21), pub burger ($19), bangers & mash ($19), chicken curry ($23)
Yak & Yeti - chicken lo mein ($19), shrimp lo mein ($20), honey chicken ($19), burger ($20), teriyaki chicken ($20)
Sci-Fi Dine In - lots of sandwich/burger options here. Easily within your budget if you stick to those.
Mama Melrose - spaghetti & meatballs ($20), chicken & penne pasta ($20), pepperoni flatbread ($17 - never had these so not sure about serving size), chicken parmigiana ($22)
The Wave (lunch) - grilled chicken sandwich ($14), corned beef sandwich ($15), signature burger ($19), chicken caesar salad ($14).

If you pick someplace like The Wave (which we really like) for lunch then you are certainly getting out for close to $100 even with tax and tip, and you can presumably apply the difference to some of the potentially more expensive places. Anyway, I would say that you are well-served booking a few TS places that are in your budget -- quality is almost always better than the QS restaurants and and the atmosphere is much more relaxing.

If you avoid alcohol, coffee, and dessert, Biergarten for two adults and two kids--as long at isn't a peak/holiday day when they hike the prices--should come in prior to tax and tip just about at $100. Plus, the kids will get to dance on the dance floor while the band is playing.

I would add Beaches and Cream to your list, too. And Grand Floridian Cafe. We make a lot of ADRs at lunch time. I think we spend less on those meals, as we don't think of ordering as much food midday. Then, we are so full, we eat lightly for dinner.

My wife and I tend to split an appetizer and an entree, which can be done for under $60 at Artist Point. Kids meals at signature restaurants average $12.

At HBD, we adore the Cobb salad, which is $11 for the small or $18 for the entree size. In July, we had two adults and kids aged 18/14/13, so five "adults" and our lunch at HBD was $131.05, per my resort folio.

That same party of five at at Kona Cafe for $82.81 and at Beaches and Cream for $99.05 - including the kitchen sink!

We fed 9 people (4 adults and kids 18/14/13/9/4) at BOG dinner for $253.82 and Via Napoli for $196.73.

I don't recall our beverage orders, but I'm certain there are a couple glasses of wine in there somewhere, and I tend to order a soda when we sit down to eat.

My son n I ate out last week and had 1 drink/cocktail each, shared an app and each had an entree. It cost me $98 before tip.

Disney is a bargain at 4/$99 with tip n tax if it can be done....

I don't see why everyone is excluding tax and tip - that's about 25% added on to the bill and 25% of $100 is $25/meal, a real sum that adds up quickly.

To buy 3 adults meals, 3 adult non-alcoholic beverages, and 1 kids meal with included beverage (which may or may not always be big enough to share - the 2 year old may need to sometimes share with an adult) will be very hard to find, especially if you want to actually eat from the menu. You have to have a total before tax and tip of around $80...the beverages alone will be $10 (for 3), the kid's meal will be $10-$12, so you have roughly $58-$60 to cover 3 adult entrees...

You are probably better served eating CS or heading offsite if you want a casual chain dinner price for your family...coupons and deals abound off-site...

But if you must make this work for DH, best bets are the cheapo sitdowns that do burgers and sandwiches...but then why not just CS burgers and sandwiches? They aren't that much better sitdown, except for the guaranteed AC and chair, which you pay extra for (aka - it's a tipped meal)...

There 3rd adult is actually 11 and eats kids meals. Even posted about a lot of dishes as long as it isn't the steak are 25 or less. 2 adult can get to 50 then 20 more for the kids and then drinks would even put it at 80.
