Hey there! Just wondering if anyone can shed any light- I'm wondering about the likelihood of getting a table for 2 in Disney restaurants between around 6pm-8pm. Me and a friend are visiting for 10 days from the 13th of September and were hoping to eat in the likes of The Liberty Tree Tavern, Garden Grill, restaurants around World Showcase etc etc. I'm just a bit concerned as we rang up Disney to make reservations about a month ago and were only able to get in at 2 of our chosen restaurants. I haven't been to Disney since the Dining plan was in full swing and am wondering if we weren't able to make many reservations as certain tables are held for those on the Dining plan but may actually be free on the day? If we are struggling and can't get into our first choice restaurants, any ideas of which we are most likely to get into? Thanks for any help!

Try for times later than 8pm and you might have luck. You are going during free dining. Also, try for places like Morrocco that most folks don't go to. You can make next day or same day ADR's by calling Disney dining from your cell or resort. You might get lucky. Character restaurants will be the first to fill up.

Good Luck :)

Sorry, no tables are held for those on the dining plan, or for walk-ups. If a restaurant is showing as fully booked now, it really is, and you won't get in. Since free dining is going on during your visit, the restaurants you mentioned were probably completely booked by June.

But...people do cancel reservations. It's worth it to keep calling, even after you arrive at WDW. I've had decent luck calling same-day, around 10 AM. Families get up in the morning and change their minds about what they're doing that day, and a few tables free up.

I've tried to make ADRs without success but then have had great luck getting into the same restaurants that were "fully booked" -as a walk in. I always get into the Biergarten as a walk-in, and I've gotten into Le Cellier three times as a walk in - party of four. You just have to ask at the desk as soon as it opens for dinner, and if the CM is nice, he/she will let you know what time would be best to come back as a walk in. It has always worked like a charm for me - I never bother with ADRs anymore. Of course, don't expect to get in on a busy night such as Friday or Saturday, and be prepared to eat at odd times if you really want to dine at a particular place.

I'm not going to say 100% you'll get what you want, but you at least have the chance. We were there last week (also during free dining). We were able to walk up at most restaurants -- and even get in much earlier than we'd previously made reservations. 2 noticable negatives: Le Cellier & Coral Reef. We tried walking up (since calling ahead had failed): Coral Reef was still full, and a couple who was RIGHT BEFORE US got the last walk-up available at Le Cellier. But THERE IS HOPE!
