My family will be visiting WDW October 17th-24th. I made all our dining reservations 6 months out and had opted not to make any reservations at Epcot since we are excited to try all of the Food & Wine offerings. We recently decided to add an extra day to our tickets so we can visit Epcot on our departure day. Now we’ll be visiting Epcot two half-days and one full day. At this point I am really tempted to make a reservation as Epcot has so many great TS options.

What is everyone’s preference when it comes to Food & Wine? Do you prefer sticking to the special event offerings and snacking around the world or do you still enjoy having a TS meal?

And if we do opt to make a reservation, what would be your choice? It’ll be my husband, my 7-year-old son, and myself. We are adventurous eaters who love a restaurant with a unique ambiance. We are frequent Disneyland visitors but this will be our first visit to WDW in many years.

There's no way you can try all of the F&W offerings in one day (but it'd be fun to try.) We would just opt for more F&W selections, but we go to WDW twice a year so that might not appeal to you.

If we were to do TS at Epcot it'd likely be Tutto Italia but most of my group aren't adventurous eaters so pasta is safe.:) I do think the lasagna there is excellent.

I normally do 3 or more days in Epcot and never do Table Service during Food and Wine. There is just too much to try!

We have 3 half days and one full day at Epcot but since we are staying at BWV we may end up there more. We only have one ADR and that’s VN. The only reason we have the ADR is because it’s moving day for our split stay and I’m using that as our “break” since DVC rooms are usually never ready before 4. Plus it’s DD12 must do. I love their pizza too!!

If we do a TS at epcot we do breakfast which gives us time to eat around food and wine.

We typically only do food and wine and usually spend at least 3 partial days there, rarely, we will stop at Tutto Gusto for some small plates or La cava for chips with salsa/guac/queso if we need some AC or something.

We usually eat one full day at only F & W, no ADRs. Then our other 2 days we do a late dinner ADR. We like to sit and relax and eat.

If you are open to leaving Epcot, Boma would be perfect for your family!

The good news/bad news about F&W is there is so much to try (I'm a Hard Core Foodie) and you can go through some serious money in not-all-that-much time. WITHOUT alcohol I breezed through $75 one day and still wasn't stuffed.....

For food quality -Spice Road, Marrakesh, Tokyo Dining (sushi), La Hacienda. Coral Reef's food is often more miss than hit, but is pretty unique. Biergarten is a lot fun. Still, not sure I'd do TS for F&W.

Food and wine snacks are fun to try once or twice, but lunch and dinner three days is insane. I can’t eat all my meals on a bench—I want to sit and relax a bit, and the ambiance of epcot restaurants is not to be missed. Do Akershus if you have kids that would enjoy a character meal, san angel inn oe biergarten if you like to see uniquely disney imagineering, or the restaurants in france or italy for the food.

I would make, at least, one TS reservation. I know many people love the F&W kiosks, but I find the lines long, the portions small and there are few places to sit and eat your food. I'm not a fan of walking and eating - that's just me! You are right, EP has, IMHO, the best and most varied TS options in all the WDW parks. If you are looking for a unique ambiance, I would consider Biergarten (but only if you don't mind sitting with others as they will seat you at a communal table with room for 8 - 10 people). The food is good and there is quite a variety. The Disney-theming is fantastic - you'll feel like you're eating in a German bier hall. San Angel Inn in Mexico also has a unique ambiance as it feels as if you are eating outside in a Mexican courtyard at night - the food isn't great, though, IMHO. For food, our favorite restaurant in EP is Spice Road Table and, while the ambiance is nice, it isn't uniquely Disney, IMHO. I would take a look at the EP menus and see what appeals, but I would definitely book at least one TS.

We do 3 days at EPCOT during F&W. This year, we have a food and wine pairing all 3 days we are there. We will also do an evening TS, usually late in the evening.
Our favorites: Monsieur Paul, Restaurant Marrakesh.
Trying Tokyo Dining this fall.
We often walk over to Flying Fish or Il Mulino for an evening meal.

Well, my family did two days at EPCOT during food and wine, with a dinner reservation one night. I will say that we all wished we did not make that dinner reservation because we were STUFFED from eating all day long at the F&W booths. That said, if I were to make a dinner reservation, it would probably be for one of the two restaurants in Mexico as I believe the booth does not represent what those restaurants have to offer!

We typically spend an entire week at just Epcot during Food and Wine and STILL aren't able to try everything we want from all the booths. Our preference is not to do any of the normal TS or QS at Epcot during Food and Wine as we would rather eat the items that are only there for a limited time.

We've done both before. We prefer just eating at the booths all day but we did table service when my parents came. We did a pretty late seating at Spice Road Table, it worked out pretty well but we were super full at the end of the night.

I would never do a TS during F&W. There's just too much to eat otherwise!

On a side note: I have tried (and very nearly succeeded) doing all of F&W in a single day. Let's leave it at: dumb choice, I was a hurt puppy that evening and the next day, would much rather spread it out.

For decent food and unique atmosphere I would do Coral Reef tank side. It is just so wondrous. We are there for F & W as well this year and will spend one full day doing booths but for two half days and a full day I would definitely want one TS. As some of the PPs have mentioned there are only so many times I want to eat and walk or sit on a bench. Plus, Coral Reef is unique to Disney!
