Last couple of times that we have been it has been quick counter all the way.....however when we go at end of next May this will be the first time we have the table service option on our dining plan. Despite getting quite excited I am quite clueless as to where and when to book.

Our arrival date is 31st May so would it be wise to book dinner on arrival day? I am ok with a big variety of food but no so much my missus and my son who do not like seafood of any sort so that rules that out!

So far I have only seen 3 places that I think we can all agree on and these are:

Liberty Tree Tavern
California Grill
Sci Fi Diner

I am really looking for other suggestions - nowhere really fancy. Any help is appreciated :). I think I can start booking on the app as of tomorrow.

It may be helpful to review the menus on allears.net. That way you and your wife can get a feel for what's available where.

FWIW, I think you can find many more options than the 3 choices you've listed.

Happy planning!

Many of the popular restaurants book up months in advance. So you should go thru the menus on Allears website and figure out which places your family might like and make reservations as far in advance as possible.

You can make reservations up to 180 days before your arrival day.

It's not so much my wife I'm worried about it's my son who has "plainer" tastes :)

How olds your son?

Kids meals are pretty standard across most restaurants so if he's 9 or under he can have the same 3 or 4 meal choices almost everywhere ;)

If he is considered an adult (ie 10 or over) I still wouldn't worry. You can order anything at a TS to be prepared as you want ie no sauce, fries instead of potatoes etc

Have a look at menus as has been suggested there are lots of places you can eat. I would recommend Hoop Dee Doo as it's a great evening. I would also suggest Yachtsman Steakhouse over CG if you have picky eaters. CG is a bit more "fancy". We like Tusker House & Ohana for character breakfasts. :goodvibes

And personally I wouldn't book anything for arrival night - you will be too tired to enjoy it and if you get delayed you will be charged the no show fee. Better off grabbing a quick snack/meal instead. We like an early breakfast ADR the next morning though :)
