Table Service Credits at Counter Service?

Can I use a table service meal credit at a counter service restaurant? I haven't made any ADR's (I know - really dumb) so I think I'm in for long waits and might want to just go to counter service again.
We are going next Monday-Saturday.

You can, but it is a total waste of $. Why not call now and see what ADRs you can get...try again on arrival. We got into LeCellier on a cancellation--2 hours notice! We were delighted.

My understanding is that you do need to do something specific to "convert" the credits over -- it isn't automatic.
