We are 4 adults and will be in HS from early afternoon to late at night. We want somewhere good to eat around 6ish, but we don't really wanna eat in the park. So, any recommendations to some places that are not a hassle to get to and get back to the park?

You have all of the restaurants of the Boardwalk, the Swan, the Dolphin, the Yacht Club, and the Beachclub.
What is your budget? Who is in your party - ages? Specific likes or dislikes.

Pretty much the entire Epcot resort area and the Boardwalk.
Swan and Dolphin are the first stop from Hollywood when using the Friendship Boats. Their restaurants are generally well received. Can't use the Disney Dining Plan at the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. So if you were looking for DDP places only look elsewhere. The rest of The Epcot area resorts, and The Boardwalk are also stops on the Friendship boat path. They are all very easy to get to.

If you have hoppers, the World Showcase in Epcot is also very easy to get to. The Friendship Boat will also stop at the International Gateway. Lots of places to eat there.

These boats run generally every 15 min, and it's about 30 minutes (usually a few minutes less, but 30 is a solid time to allot) from end to end (Hollywood to Epcot with stops at the epcot area resorts in between)

We are in 30’s, we will be on dining plan, and a couple of us are on the picky side. So looking for some semi-traditional food.

Since you are on the dining plan, I would look at the menus for Ale and Compass, Cape May (seafood buffet for dinner) and Trattoria al Forno. They will all offer something for more picky eaters. All of these are easily accessible by boat from DHS. For Trattoria, you may even want to walk as BWI is the last stop on the boat. With any of them, I highly suggest stopping at Ample Hills for dessert if you like ice cream!

Do you want only 1 TS Credit Restaurants?
If so, at the Boardwalk there is ESPN for a typical sports bar food and atmosphere. They do not accept ADRs for dinner. You have Trattoria al Forno for Italian, where you can make an ADR. ANd the Big River Grille, a brew pub, which takes reservations on their own web site.
You also have the newly finished Ale and Compass at the Yacht Club and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. Cape May is themed after a clambake and is a buffet. There are also plenty of things for non seafood eaters. Finally there is Beaches and Cream a very small soda shoppe themed restaurant.
We have been to all except the Ale and Compass and would return to any of them

Yes 1 TS credit is what we are looking for. I have heard that Cape May has a very strong fish smell, any experience with this?

1 TS limits your choices unfortunately. Do you have a park hopper pass to go into EPCOT? Many good restaurants there and many are not Signature Restaurants so they only take 1 TS.

Our family enjoyed a great Italian meal at Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk last year. Boat or walk from HS.
One of the best meals we’ve had on property, one TS credit on the dining plan.
Haven’t tried any others in the area but we too didn’t fancy any of the restaurants in HS.

Trattoria al Forno on Boardwalk is a good option.
Have not tried Ale and Compass yet.
Beaches and Cream at BC is good, but ADRs can be hard to get.
In EPCOT, Chef du France, Via Napoli (pizza etc), Tutto Italia are good choices, 1 TS and easy to get to from the International Gateway.

I would say it does have a seafood smell. I have always enjoyed it.

Cape May Cafe would be my choice.

I’ve seen comments on here about a bad fish smell, but I never found the aroma to be “bad.”

Yes, you can smell seafood being cooked, but it’s not a nasty stench IMO.

Cape May a good choice, as well as Trattoria al Forno..... A lot of good restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin also, if your into Sushi Kimonos is great !!!!!

That's true in my experience.

ESPN and Big River Grill might be your safest bets - but do check the menus online at Disney or allears to see if it's your thing.
