Table Request Help Needed - Concierge on Magic

Hi All,

We're sailing concierge on the Magic (May 4-9). I already requested a specific dining rotation (Rapunzel's, Lumiere's, animators, rapunzels, Lumiere's). But I need help with my table request(s).

I know popular opinion is that concierge always gets good tables, but our first cruise was on the Fantasy and we made no requests and got obstructed views (and, for example: no view of Crush). So this time around, I want to put in a request.

But how specific do I need to be? Can I say: "I'd like non-obstructed views of the Rapunzel show." or do I need to specify specific table(s)?

Anyone know good table numbers worth asking for?

Table numbers can change from one cruise to the next.

I'm assuming they told you what the scheduled rotation is? I usually stick with something like "Animator's Palate on Pirate Night" or something that you don't have to know the rotation order for the request.

Table number locations vary from restaurant to restaurant. So what has a "good view" in one may not in another.

Yes, I asked for all the rotations and picked one (we wanted to do Rapunzel's twice).

So, how do people pick tables? I know you can request it and I hear people here say they do. But if table numbers change, how do you do it. I know you can ask for banquettes in Enchanted Garden (though obviously not on Magic). Hmm, do you think if I ask for a "good view" that will be worth even asking?

I have no idea. I put the request for either "Animator's on Pirate Night" or "Lumiere's/Triton's/Royal Whichever on the first night" (so I can book Palo for the first night and avoid that IMHO nasty menu). I don't stress about where my table is.

With the amount you’re paying for concierge you should be able to just tell them you want an unobstructed view of the Rapunzel show. You shouldn’t have to do any more research than that. It seems like a pretty simple request. If it’s really important to you I would re-iterate when you check in with the concierge hosts. I have zero experience with concierge so take this with a grain of salt.

I'm sure these requests can be annoying for the table planners, but all I really care about is a non-obstructed view and hopefully is an easy enough request.

I think if you are specific that what you really care about is the table for Rapunzel's that should work. Keep in mind that this table number in Rapunzel's may not be as ideal in one of the other restaurants.

By "requesting a table", I think they're referring to asking for a table for just their party. Or, possibly "by a window" (for those MDRs that have windows), or "not next to a serving station". Not asking for a specific table by number.

I asked for:

"Is it possible to request a front row (or close) dinner table for the Rapunzel dinner show? If so, I would like to request this."

And they gave us an AMAZING table... great view and the character interactions were wonderful in our location.
