Table or Quick Service Lunch Meals?

I was wondering which is faster, table or quick service meals. The names suggest that quick service would be faster, but I've heard that lines can be long. My family is hiring a Personal VIP tour during our October trip and time is literally money. So, would it be better to have lunch at a (non-character) table restaurant or go quick service? We are a party of eight and are on the DDP.

Quick service is definitely faster. We've never waited more than 10 minutes in line; usually it's less than 5. We're typically in and out of a quick service restaurant in about 20 minutes, as opposed to 60 to 75 minutes at a table service restaurant.

Just try not to go at typical meal times.

That's the secret: don't go at lunch time. Go a little early or a little later.

If you want to do a TS, book the first seating for maximum speed.

I agree that QS is faster if you go when they open but the wait gets longer further into the day. TS can be quick once you sit down (tell the CM, know what you want & order right away) but there's always at least a few minute wait for a table...again making an earlier ADR might help that.

Enjoy!

Quick service. Your guide should be able to recommend a good time/place.

We just did two days with a guide and did qs lunch both days. We took her suggestions and ate at Columbia Harbour House and Restaurantosaurus and both were very fast lunches. I definitely didn't spend the day thinking time is money or it would have driven me crazy. My sister and her family had a guide at Christmas and she said everything she did she thought about it being $6/minute. It was not a good experience for her. We just looked at it as a set expense and we absolutely loved our time. We walked 8-10 miles during our non guided days and only 3 or 4 with our guide. Those short cuts count!
