Table for 5?

For all of you that have families of 5, do they typically squeeze you in at a table for 4, or do you get a setup comfortable for 5? We'll be traveling for the first time with an extra person, and just curious what to expect in the restaurants.

Generally, parties of five are seated at tables that hold five, six, sometimes eight diners. Rarely would Disney - or any reasonable restaurant - try to squeeze too many people at a table.

It's a toss up. We've been squeezed in a 4-top table, frequently, especially when it's a busy time. It's not comfortable. The extra chair is on the end, which is often in the aisle and whomever sits there usually ends up getting knocked around a bit by wait staff and other guests. Other times, we've been seated at enormous tables, suitable for 8. WCC was our worst experience with being shoved in a too small for our party size space. We won't go back, in large part, because of that. Coral Reef has been terrific. We always get a big booth with a great view of the aquarium. No one ever gets squashed.

We had a group of five in September and were never squeezed into a table for four. They always made us very comfortable, wherever we ate.

Actually when we went for Thanksgiving in 2006 our party of 5 was squeezed into four person tables twice (out of 4 sit down restaurants), for five adults, with one being 6'4" it was not exactly comfortable. If it happens to you speak up!

We were never squeezed into a table that was too small for our family. Often we had extra room.

I just traveled with a group of 5 in Nov. & we were never squished at a table for 4, if anything there was always extra room at the table.

We've only been once as a party of 5. We never had any trouble getting seated comfortably. I do wish that accommodations were a little more Five Friendly.

We are a family of Five and I can't recall ever being sat at a Four-top...

WE've always had 6 top seating...which is great...

An extra seat for the bags and purses.
