Hi,

I've noticed that when I put in table for 3, NO AVAILABLE TIME. But when I do 4, there are some. Can reserve for 4 when it's really for 3 people?

Thanks.

Technically I don't think there's any reason you can't do that. I've heard of people doing it before for sure. There is a $10 per person charge for not showing up for a reservation, but that only applies if nobody in your party showed up. If you really had 4 people but one got sick and only 3 of you went, they wouldn't have a problem with that or charge you for the missing person. At least that's how it's operated to this point. And how's Disney to know that's not what really happened in this case? And likely if you had 3, they would put you at a table for 4 anyway because they don't usually have tables with only 3 chairs, so it's not like you'd be taking a table that you wouldn't have occupied anyway. Unless you have a moral opposition to it, I would venture that you could do it no problem.

Thanks. I figured I play with the 3 or 4, but so far all the reservations are 9:50pm!!! My window opened today and it's crazy how I can't get anything at regular dinner times.

If it helps, when we made our reservation for dinner with our wedding guests (up to 20) we told them we didn't have our guest list confirmed yet and they just said to book for 20 and if not all 20 people ended up showing up it was fine.

absolutely! Disney's system looks for an exact match. Book and enjoy!!

I did this for most of our dinner reservations last week. When they asked "for four?" I would just say "it's actually only going to be three," and there wasn't a problem. We did get sort of a snarky response from the hostess at 1900 Park Fare. She said "Well hold on let me change the table to a three top" and returned to the stand for a while... she then proceeded to seat us at a four top :rolleyes1
