Hi everyone! I've been reading the boards for awhile but this is my first post! I would like to use a TA for our trip in November. I've seen lots of recommendations but which ones will use my AAA discount? I've gotten a couple of quotes that wouldn't use it. I would also like one that will search for codes, help with ps etc. Also, if they say they will make ps should I try to make them as well or just trust that they will get them for me? Any recommendations would be wonderful. Thanks so much!

Lynn

Dreams Unlimited sponser these boards and have gotten good reviews. They will apply your AAA discount and automaticly apply codes if they come out. They will also handle PS's for you, and I've heard can sometimes score hard to get ones, too. If this is your first trip to WDW, I'd really recomend using them or another agency that specializes in WDW.

I agree with the Dreams endorsements. AAA will get your thier discount but that is about the only discount they do without you getting involved.

So I took your advice and got a quote through DU. The email I got back said they don't do AAA discounts. Does anyone else have a suggestion? Or should I just pray I can use a code before we go? TIA

If you are booking a package, you will need to book through AAA. Travel agents that aren't AAA certified can't book AAA-discounted packages. They can book AAA-discounted room-only reservations however. It sounds like you are trying to book a package.

I am using Small World Vacations, recommended by www.mousesavers.com. I am really happy with the service. We are going over the Thanksgiving holiday, and will have a split reservation. That means we have Nov. 24-26 reserved, then Nov. 27-Dec. 3rd reserved at the same resort. The first reservation coincides with the last 3 days of regular season, and the last 6 days coincide with value season. My TA told me she spent 2 HOURS on the phone getting CRO to split the reservation, because they (CRO) wanted us to stay in the resort for the regular season rate the entire time! :confused3 It REALLY depends on who you get at CRO (Central Reservations Office), as to whether you get any discounts or not. You definitely have to ask for them, and then the reservationist still may not know which ones are out.

I alos use a TA because I just don't have the time or patience to do it myself!

Oh, and Small World Vacations is an AAA travel agent.

I just went to their website and found this:

"Please note that we cannot book discounted packages for AAA members."

Has there been a recent change that may not be reflected on the Small World Vacations website?
