TA Question

I have a TA that I use for my trips. I could do them myself but it is easier to have someone else book these. My TA does a great job at that. She gets things booked quickly. However, if I have questions about anything I can't seem to get her to email me back very quickly. She doesn't seem to work on the weekends (which is fine) and I am struggling to get her to email me back in a timely manner during the week. Does anyone else run into this? I have a trip for November and a cruise in March booked through the agency but want someone who is available to answer questions without a several day delay. This year I am going to be out of town to make my ADR's for November and want to let her do it but am concerned that she might not get to it. I guess my question is do I share my concerns with her or do I take my business elsewhere? I am really torn!!

I've only used a TA once, and she was great about getting back to me quickly. However, she is a friend and I had no concerns going in. I would not use a TA that didn't get back to me in a timely manner. It is much easier and less stressful to do it yourself.

That is unacceptable. I use a TA from a Disney-authorized agency, who is the best! She normally answers my e-mails within minutes, and always the same day.....even on weekends. She knows which deals/promotions best suit my needs, and books them as soon as they're announced, whether at 6 a.m. or midnight. Saves me time, and not having to stress. She loves WDW, takes pride in her job, and always does an amazing job for me.

I used a TA one time and she never responded to any of my calls or emails. I eventually cancelled thru her because I couldn’t communicate with her, and it took months of begging to get my deposit back. Thank god i only gave her the $200. And she was with a very well known company. She was very nice and talkative when she was trying to get my business though...

If you want to keep them then tell them your concerns and tell them you will take your business elsewhere if it keeps up. I only use a TA because they have Disney World agency exclusive deals and it has always beaten any discount that I can get on my own. She is great at getting back with me, almost always within 24 hrs. or less.

I've never used one.

But I have planned trips for people that have used one.

They are told that the TA can book dining, fast passes and everything else. Sure they can. But they don't seem to do it.

And these are Disney planners. Ugh.

I've never used one either. my specialty is planning things for trips (both for myself and friends), and I have always found it very easy to book dining and fast passes for us, no doubt just as easy as a TA could.

I use a Disney authorized TA for some of my trips. I don't use her for making dining or FPs; I use her because I can book in advance and when discounts come out she changes them and then lets me know how much money I've saved. To me that's the benefit of using a TA. She always returns my emails the same day; I've been using her for at least 10 years now.

I would take my business elsewhere if it were me. I used a TA for the first time on our last trip because I really wanted to get free dining and I knew she'd be right on top of it when the sale dropped. I did all of my ADRs and Fast Passes because I'm a little bit of a control freak when it comes to that, but she was fantastic about getting back to me every time I had a question or concern. If you aren't getting the responses that you expect, definitely find a new one. I'd happily recommend mine if you want to PM me.

We don’t use a TA for Disney trips but the one we do use is always responsive and makes sure everything is squared away before each trip. I would look for a different one if you can’t even get questions answered.

When I’m at work (although an entirely different role to a TA) I generally give myself a 48 hour rule for non urgent queries. I think anything more than 48 hours (depending on exceptional circumstances) is a bit unacceptable.
