If you book a cruise with a TA, and you want to have a pre-cruise WDW stay, do you have to book your WDW stay with the TA too?
I want to book my WDW stay myself, because it will actually be more cost effective to do it myself. But if I do it myself, I will probably have to let my TA know because she would have notify DCL transfers to pick us up at our resort. Unless there is a way for me to bypass that and let DCL know myself? Would this be awful?

Certainly not. Your TA is only responsible for whatever travels they book for you. You can book anything before said TA bookings, or after, on your own.

All you have to do is tell your TA where you want to start the trip that they planned. It matters not if it's your home address, or Paris, or anywhere in between.
