TA put in ressie that we are having an anniverary..what do they do?

Ok, I was just wondering about this. We will be in Disney when we celebrate our 5 year anniversary and the TA noted it in our ressie. We are staying at POR. Do they do something special for you b/c of that? I would love to have something special while we are there like a cake or something but I just do not have the extra cash to fork out for what they want for little cakes and such..lol All the extra money is going to souvies for my little one..hehe I can't help but buy for him. Anyways, I was just trying to figure out why she noted that and if that meant they would be doing something? Thanks for any info.

You do hear about some people getting cards, cakes and/or other assorted goodies in their rooms when celebrating a wedding/anniversary/birthday, etc. However, it is not a guarantee, so don't assume something special will happen. If it does, great, enjoy the pixie dust; if not, well you are still having a great trip at WDW.

We once noted our anniversary on a reservation (10 years ago) and we received a signed photo of Mickey and Minnie at check-in. Two years ago we were there and it was our DD6 birthday. The reservation agent at check-in noted her birthday and even asked us what her favorite character was, but she never did get anything. I've heard of other kids getting signed cards from characters. I guess it was overlooked in her case. She didn't know about it, so she didn't miss it. I don't think they do these little things as much as they used to simply because there are so many people celebrating things. It must be overwhelming for Disney. Special things do happen, but don't expect it. Have fun!

It's nice to have it noted but I would not expect anything. Out of the thousands of people there every day, many are there celebrating a special occasion-birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc. There is no way Disney can do something for everyone. If it does happen, that's great.
