I need to preface this with I am a type A planner and organizer.

Is there a benefit to using a Travel Agent? I have the time and energy to plan our next trip, but am curious as to why you may or may not use a travel agent?

Having been there 20+ times and very internet savvy I have a pretty darn good idea as to what we want to do and how to get deals.

I'm the same way. We used a TA for our most recent trip but I still planned everything. We were excited because I didn't have to sit on the phone for requests or things like that. Everything was great. And as a bonus, she sent both of our kids the disney autograph books before the trip as well as lanyards personalized with all of our adr's on them. She put all of our ADR's into a concierge type list with park hours, emh, etc. It was great and I didn't pay a cent more.

Another member of the Type A club here! :lmao:

I used to do everything myself but found a TA (who is a Disney specialist) that is even more of a Type A than I am and she's been my TA for the past 3 years. :lovestruc She compares packages and special deals when they're released and lets me know which ones are the better deal. Also if a code comes out, she applies it for me. The only thing I have to do is let her know what I want and let her know when to process my CC payment to Disney.

The only Type A thing I do now is make the dining reservations. My TA could do them for me but...I like doing that part myself. I've got the ADR spreadsheet in front of me right now...:surfweb:
