TA ever NOT get an AP rate?

Has anyone who has booked thru a TA ever NOT gotten the AP rate? I just bought my first AP . I'm really wavering about using a TA at all, my hesitation is whether they have a better chance of acquiring the AP rates when they come out. We're going in value season Dec. 2005.

Well if you use the traditional TA like AAA you probably will NOT get an AP rate. They don't have a clue for the most part.

I have used Dreams Unlimited and IF Disney releases AP rates for your period they are very good at getting the rate for you. If Disney does not have rates then no TA can make them appear.

I agree. You need to use a TA that knows Disney. Many local ones don't have a clue. We used The Magic For Less for all of our reservations, and we got our AP discount with no problems.

I have not always been able to get my exact choice of resort/view, even with a disney specialist travel agent. It wouldn't stop me from using one, though.

Their only advantage is that they are usually on the phones all the time and can check many times per day...

...and that's a big advantage to me. I own my own business, so I am not available to grab those rates when they come out. I think I'll try out Small World Vacations, since they come highly recommended from mousesavers.com. I don't have any specific rooms I'm looking for, so I can be flexible that way. Of course, I'd like the resorts of my choice, but they can probably swing that.
