TA availability vs Disney Availability???

Here's the short story...

TA says that the resort/room we want is not available...
....Disney website says it is available and will allow me to book it...

Any reason for the discrepancy???

Disney's IT is well known for having glitches.
I'd just book it myself.

Well....

We got is straightened out! Simple misunderstanding...
It's available!

I figured it was something as simple as a communication error, but if it was something else, I did not want to be a bother to our TA.

I would think that if Disney wants it does not have to make all available rooms available to travel agents. I am not a travel agent but we've seen the extremes Disney has gone to in order to control every detail of its business.
