YAY!!! I completed one day's worth of shirts! And I only ruined one shirt and two transfers trying to figure out my iron settings and how much pressure to use.
Funny story about how I ruined the first transfer. I kept reading on different threads about how I need to make sure I follow the manufacturer's directions to the letter. Well, there were two different sets of directions. One for "heat press" and another for "iron". The one for heat press said to remove the backing. The one for iron didn't! Being a total newbie at this, I figured there was a reason for this. There's not. It was a misprint. Luckily it didn't mess up the shirt.
The 2nd shirt/transfer I messed up was because my iron was too hot and I pushed too hard and long. I dialed it down, didn't press as hard and they came out great!(oh, and everyone will have a shirt - the ones I ruined were mine and DH - his will match DS's, and mine will match DD's.)
Couldn't have done it without the board's help. Thanks everyone! Now off to make the other 3 day's worth of shirts!
