Hi Everyone,
We are planning on a quick stop to Disney Springs after we land for a quick-ish lunch at T-Rex before heading to Cocoa Beach. DS would love T-Rex...b/c well dinosaurs!
Do we need an ADR mid-week during a lower season? (First week in Feb)
Thank you for your insight!

It can't hurt. I would call the restaurant directly (they have more availability than the WDW site) or get a Landry's Select Card so you can get premium seating whenever you arrive.

Just an FYI (maybe you already know this), DS is in the opposite direction of Cocoa Beach.

been there twice never without a reservation, party of 6 and the most we waited was 25 min, but just because was a last minute decision, if you already know the date go ahead and get reservations.

If you call the restaurant for a reservation directly, you can cancel without a fee if you won’t make it in time.

25 minutes from the airport...1 hour ish to cocoa beach...
What is a Landry's Select Card???? How do I get one?

Landry’s card is their “club”. It gets you in without a reservation, quickly, but does cost I think $25.

Go to www.landrysselect.com to apply for the card. From the website:

"Dine to Earn Rewards!

As a member of Landry's Select Club®, you can earn points for visiting one of our participating restaurants from coast to coast. As your points accumulate, they add up to great rewards for you to enjoy on future visits. Plus, you'll receive exclusive member-only benefits and offers that will make your mouth water.

So become one of our Landry's Select Club preferred guests and begin earning rewards today!"
You pay $25 for the card but receive a $25 credit the first time you use it. Also you get a $25 credit to use during your birth month, and since they do not check your ID, you can list your birth month as being the month you go to WDW.

The main reason it's suggested so often on these boards is that you get priority seating at any Landry's restaurant, which at WDW includes T-Rex, Rainforest (both locations) and Yak & Yeti. Just walk up, show your Landry's card, and you'll be seated next available. No ADR needed!

Awesome...Oddly enough, the first time we will be there IS my birth month...Thank you!

Yes. ish. But you'll literally be going from MCO west to Disney Springs, then heading on the same road or one that intersects with the same road, passing by MCO, to get to cocoa beach. And it's toll roads if you stick to 528 (or 417) before and after I-4.

Bumbershoot...Thanks for the heads up...I hadn't looked at it this way...In all of my excitement I thought an hour from Disney Springs...not bad. DS will love it! Reality...we will be on a plane for 3 hours...as long as there are not any delays. Will re-evaluate and go from there! Thank you for bringing this to my attention...Will have to play by ear.
