We did a walkup for lunch on our last day before we had to head to airport. Kids loved it (we were in ice room) I have heard complaints about service if you have DDP (our service was good and we didn't have DDP). the portions are LARGE. Even with the way my kids eat we could have easily split and appetizer and entree among 2-3 of us. We got there just as they opened for the day for lunch and seated after about a 5 minute wait. Food was fine-like a better chain restaurant.

Been several times because my DS wants to go.
- Food is average. We think RFC food is better for comparison. I would stick with basics like burgers etc.
- The dessert Extinction fun with the smoke but no where as good as a Volcano. We find the cake very dry. I initially thought it was fat free.
- Service has been slow every single time. We always have to wave them down, especially after your food comes.
- The decor is amazing, be sure to walk around the entire restaurant and take pictures.
- It is very loud, meteor showers and ongoing noise. I take advil after leaving.
- I always tell folks to NOT sit in the ice room. It changes colors like bright blue and hot pink and everything in the room becomes that color, you, the food .... it is nauseating. You can watch if from outside in the other areas.
- Book by calling the restaurant direct. First you will get your choice of days/times (online is limited) and you won't have the Disney CC Guarantee attached.
- Everyone should go at least once for the decor. But as a comparison I overall enjoy RFC better.

I agree with the earlier posts; very very loud and food is okay but our 2 9 year olds loved the theme.

2 suggestions:

1. let the kids wander around through the different rooms. everybody does it.
2. save money by ordering kids meals and appetizers. the dinners are way too much food.
