T-rex with dining plan

We went to Disney In De. 2011 and are going again in Feb 2013. I seem to remember that with the dining plan you don't just get the main meal. That you get a drink and desert too or something like that. Can someone refresh my memory and tell me how this will come into play with T-rex? What can you actually get with it there?

If you are on the DDP. You get an entree, non alcholic drink and dessert. Trex and RFC are no differant than the other DDP restaurants.

IF I remember correctly, when we went in May 2011 Rainforest Cafe in AK was NOT on the dining plan and only the one in DTD was because we really wanted to go but didn't because it wasn't on the DxDP . I THINK it was the same for T-Rex, wasn't on the dining plan. They're all on the Dxdp now.

That's right. TRex never use to be on the DP until last year. Or 2012? Anyway, its on the DP now. One entree, dessert, and drink.

Rainforest and T-Rex began accepting the Disney Dining Plans (both regular and deluxe) on 1/1/12. Previously, they accepted only the Premium and Platinum Package Plans (which are not the same thing as the Disney Dining Plans).

We used our DXDP dining plan at the T-Rex this past August (2012). I am pretty sure it included an entree, drink and dessert. They had a neat family-style dessert that involved 4 pieces of cake, 4 scoops of ice cream and some large smoking thing in the center - my kids saw one on its way to another table durning our lunch and the die was cast.

Anyway, we were able to use our DXDP for this large family-style dessert. (There were 4 of us and it served 4, so perhaps this wouldn't be possible for a party with fewer than 4 guests.)

You can only get the big dessert if you have 4 or more. We had three (well 4, but one was under 3 so not on the dining plan) and were told we couldn't get it. We went in October on the standard dining plan and each got a drink, entree, and dessert. Ask because we could get smoothies and specialty drinks (without a souvenir glass) as our beverage, not just sodas. I also was able to get an appetizer (the sampler) as my entree.
