I am so excited! My TA was able to get us ADR's at T-Rex for dinner! Can you give me some insight to the restaurant? the atmosphere, food, etc? DS loves dinosaurs (DH & DS would sit and watch Land of the Lost for hours if I'd let them).

Brings LOTS of money....lol.
It is LOUD from the dinos and the meteor showers, but oh, so AWESOME.
Food is ok, but $$$$$. Hamburger is 13.00, to give you an idea.
If you have kids, you simply MUST go to the BUILD A DINO Store.
We had a great time there, but is is loud. LOL.

Your son will love T-Rex. Feel free to walk through all the rooms after you place your order. I'm not crazy about the menu and agree that it's a bit pricey. I just wish they had more veggie options - at least a veggie burger.

I had the Paleo Shrimp which someone on the board said was the best thing they'd ever eaten, period. I took one bite of mine and my heart sank. Yuck. Gorton Fisherman is better. Then, I tried the pasta that came with the shrimp; cold. Anyhow I sent it back and, Wow! - everything changed. Freshly prepared, Paleo Shrimp was amazing!

Have a great time. I know your son will.

:)

ALL the Dinos around are very cool. You can get some neat pix, too.
I think it is a must have for DECOR, but not so much for food. LOL.

When we went to T-Rex, we sat at the bar and ate. We found the drinks and the food to be quite good. It is a bit loud, but overall it is really a fun place to visit. We went without kids, but I am sure kids who are really into the whole dinosaur scene will realllllly love it.

Have a great time and enjoy!

We eat there last Sunday 8/9 and it was very expensive for food and drinks. It was also very loud. We were not happy with where they placed us. It was inside of of some dino and since we were placed behind high walls that seperated us from the rooms we could not see what was going on. My DH was able to take our DS8 and DS3 around looking at all the other dino. Glad we tried it, but will never do it again.

We had lunch there a few days ago. My two DDs (age 18 and 14 ) had the paeolzaic (sorry for the spelling) chicken sandwich. They said it was very good but the pizza dough bread made it very heavy. They were only able to finish half each. I had the fish tacos (forgot the exact name).
They were very good and the portion was huge. DH had a burger which was huge and very good. We had a 12:00 reservation and it was not very crowded at that time. We enjoyed the sourroundings and the meteorite show. I highly recommend.:hippie:

We ate there this summer. Glad we did it once, but we'd never go back. Our two boys enjoyed it, but the food was mediocre at best and it was quite pricey for what it was. If you don't like a loud dining experience, don't bother. everyone that comments that it is loud sure isn't kidding.

We share meals at T-Rex. We really enjoy the food but the portions are huge. Rather than waste it we order two entrees for the four of us which works out perfectly. DS14 and I shared the Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich. Yum!

We ate at TRex and I agree its a little loud at times, but the food I thought was good, we initally went in for apps but ending up having meals instead! it is a resturant I would do again!

We ate at the TREX in March 09 and our kids (DD8 and DS4) loved it. It is like the Rainforest Cafe, but instead of jungle animals, it is dinos. The food is good, but I agree that it wasn't anything spectacular. The portions are large and since it can be pricey, I also agree that sharing is a great idea. It is very loud when the meteor shower effects go off and we actually saw a kids freak out and had to be taken out to calm down! Mine loved it though. They let you walk around and see everything and take pics, which is a good way to pass the time waiting on the food. The dessert is a MUST and was the best part of the meal! And definately go to Build a Dino! All in all, it was a fun experience that we will do again! Have fun!

Thank you all so much for your input. I think, other than 'Ohana, this is the meal I am looking forward to the most to see DS's reaction!
