Just wanted to let you all know they are accepting ressies. We called today to make ours. They did say DVC members get a discount. My wife didn't ask what the discount was.

10% like Rainforest. Same for Safari Club OR you get a free "Appy of the day" which are usually a choice of the 3 cheaper ones. Indications are they wouldn't let you get the more expensive one and pay the difference. The question was whether they were going to honor the front of the line perk for the Safari Club. They hinted they would but didn't say for certain.

Thanks Dean!! I won't complain...I'll take any kind of discount!:thumbsup2
We thought the tomatoe Soup and Tortelini were great, the burger only so so. Had the Tortelini 3 times so far and it was very good each and every time.

How far in advance can you make ressies....is it 90 days like the other restaurants? Thanks.

T-Rex is at Downtown Disney, adjacent to McDonalds.

The DVC discount is 10%, and is for the Member and up to 3 additional guests.

There's a 15% discount on merchandise at the store (excluding sale items or Build-A-Dino)

I just called to make reservations and was told that they are not taking reservations for T-Rex.

Did you call 407-WDW-DINE or did you make the reservations thru DVC?

Anyelse try to make reservations for T-Rex?

Thanks.

We went to T Rex this past December and I must admit that we were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was versus our expectations.

While the ribs were not quite fall off the bone, they were definitely good enough, and worth coming back for. The others in my party, all 4 of them, liked what they got for dinner as well.

Why would you go there for the food? Of course it is standard food you can get in any city at any casual chain restaurant. You go there for your kids and because they have animatronic dinosaurs all over the place.

Thank you, even more reasons to go there!!!!!!!!!

Thank you...did you call TRex directly or Disney dining?

I plan to call after work. :thumbsup2

I called them (T-Rex) directly 407-828-8739. I did ask before I made the reservation how far in advance they were taking reservations. I was quite surprised when she said 6 months.

How long was it that RFC did their own reservations and not CRO, 2 to 3 years.

Darn it! We purchased DVC onboard the Magic in November. The day we got off, we ate at T-Rex and were even talking about it with our server... he said he'd like to buy too someday when he quits working at T-Rex and starts making the big money in insurance. :rotfl2: Anyway, he never mentioned a discount. That would have been really nice as the meal for the 8 of us ending up costing a small fortune. The prices are definitely higher than Rainforest Cafe with a very similar atmosphere.

The discount just started this week, I got it back in Oct but only because their marketing rep made a mistake and confirmed in email that we would get it. We did end up getting the discount but it was a hassle. The area manager called and invited us back with priority reservations.

Oh good! I feel better. ;)

Speaking of discounts, I just remembered that our T-Rex server gave us a card for 10% off at either RFC location on our next visit.

Is says...

"Present this card and enjoy:

  • 10% off Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages
  • 10% off Retail
    PLUS
  • Priority Seating

We asked about using it next trip since we were flying home the next day and were told that it would be no problem as there is no expiration on the offer! :)
