I've made all our ADRs. I think I can fit in 1 more table service on our last full day in Orlando. That day, we're planning on just doing Blizzard Beach and a dinner in Downtown Disney. T-Rex comes to mind.

For all those who have been to T-Rex:
1. Is it fun for 16 yo and 13 yo teen girls?
2. Is the food good?

We were at WDW in 2009, when T-Rex first opened and didn't get a chance to try it. The reviews at that time were so-so, maybe because it was just new. Curious to know what it's like now.

And if you don't recommend T-Rex, what's another suggestion at Downtown Disney? Our standbys are WP Express and EoS. Thanks!

It will be fun for the ages your kids and we personally like the food.

I always get the grilled shrimp and it's delicious. It's not haute cusine on the level of Narcoosees or something like that, but it's good IMO.

We are trying t-rex for the first time next month... I thought the menu looked decent and my 7 year old son would enjoy the atmosphere. I will try and remember to let you know how the food was when we get back... or at least my opinion of how the food was. :goodvibes

We are all adults and we love t-rex. The atmosphere is fun and we expecially like to split the appetizer sampler and add ribs. It is a lot of food and very good.

We have eaten there three times and the food was delicious every time. Everybody enjoyed their meals and it's a really fun atmosphere for all ages.

I am going there on Saturday night so I am glad to hear all the positive reviews.

My husband and I were surprised by how much we enjoyed T-Rex. The kids all liked it too and the ambiance was fun.

We're thinking of trying TREX. The reviews here sound good and we like its cousin- the Rainforest Café- food and atmosphere are great!

I think the food is mediocre at best - nothing to write home about. Very similar to that of Planet Hollywood or Rainforest, very chain-like. As a girl, I prefer Rainforest Cafe over T-Rex but I would do T-Rex if you've already done Rainforest.

We went in May and all of us (ranging from 54 years old to 5 years old) loved the food! I was really surprised at how good it was - I was expecting Chili's/Applebee's type food, but it was much better than that.

We went last February just for the fun theming, expecting better chain type food. We were floored. The food was wonderful, not Kona of course (our favorite and the only sit-down meal we planned for the whole trip) but delicious. Truly amazed and not expecting it. We felt we got a good value, had a delicious meal-- I got "Tribal Tacos" which were blackened shrimp tacos and DH got the Jurassic Shrimp Skewers-- and we had the one of the best servers ever. The theming was awesome :thumbsup2 , but it wouldn't have been worth it if the food was even so-so.

The only warning I will give you is to watch your kids! After dinner, DH and I wandered slowly to the exit, admiring the dinos and cool "ambiance" (if that term still fits when you are in a prehistoric time...) As we headed into the gift shop area, we couldn't find our DD's- 10 and 16. As we moved to the rear of the store I saw them at the Build-A-Dino stuffing machine, hands over their hearts saying the dino-owner pledge. We left the proud owners of a Pterodactyl in a pink velour warm up suit and sunglasses. Again, note the ages.... 16 and 10. No, it wasn't the 10 YO's idea, lol!

We have given up making ADR's as we love the freedom NOT having them affords us, but this is the one sit-down meal we will not miss next February.

We've eaten there several times and we like the food. I prefer DTD food over park food anyway. The atmosphere is a lot of fun as well. Although I hope they never try to seat me in the "Ice" room !

I mentioned this thread to my kids, and my 10 year old said, "Did you tell them that it's FREEEEEEEEEZING!!!!" That's what he remembers most about T-Rex - that it was c.o.l.d.! lol

An ICE Room?!?! I'm not sure I'd want to sit in there. Coming to Orlando from Canada in March to leave that winter chill behind.

So far, I'm leaning towards TREX - you're all giving it great reviews! Sounds like an interesting place.

Actually it's fake "ice" BUT the whole room changes color and it makes me nausea's ! You have to walk through there to go to the bathroom and that's enough for me !

I'm going to be the odd one out. I've eaten at both Rainforest and T-Rex in Kansas city, so the experience in Florida might be different? Both times we ate there not only was the food what I'd consider to be below the decency of late night bar food but I got sick after eating it. Both times, both places, different items. The one at Disney might be different? My opinion of the ones in KC at least is awful. The food is overpriced, over and under cooked and not near the quality I'd expect for the prices being charged. Now we did enjoy making our own dinosaur, but that was about it. The design of the restaurant is cool and it seems that's all you're paying for.

We were there in May and loved it. It was one of the must do's for our trip next May. The kids loved the atmosphere and we all loved the food.

My best friend's sister and partner ate there last month and they loved it, said they preferred it to Rainforest Cafe. That is our first stop when we arrive in Orlando 2 weeks from today! My 18-month old son absolutely loves dinosaurs so I am hoping that he is going to be blown away by the theming! I hope we enjoy the food also, but really more excited to see his reaction to being surrounded by his beloved "di-di".

If you've been to Rainforest Cafe then you know what to expect just add dinasours.

We wanted to give the restaurant a shot and we ended up loving it. All we ordered was the appetiser sampler and it was enough to feed 2 adults (we weren't that hungry, big lunch). As we looked around we were amazed by the portions. They were HUGE! Of course, the prices were up there too... probably a bit more than I'd like to spend. We're not huge fans of Rainforest and need never return there but we will go back to T-Rex!

We were in the ice room and we loved it! When the meteor showers came every 20 minutes, the color of the room changed. It was really cool!! Well, it was a bit chilly, but I wouldn't say cold. But I do not get cold easily. I come insulated.
