T-Rex Giftcard Question

I am sure this has been ask before but I can't find it.

I do MyPoints and I will have enough points to buy a couple Rainforest Cafe gift cards but since we have a Rainforest Cafe here we really want to eat at T-Rex. I know online it says on the Rainforest Cafe website that their gift cards can be used at any Landry's owned restraunts so I assume I can use it at T-Rex. Has anyone ever had any problems using a RFC gift card at T-Rex?

I've done it no problem. The back of them says valid at any landry's restaurant.

Sometimes mypoints actually sends a Landry's gift card, even if you redeem for RFC, those are fine to use at TRex also.

I'm just redeemed MyPoints for a Landry's gift card for this exact reason. When I finally had enough points saved I made sure I looked for the Landry's gift card and not the Rainforest Cafe gift card, but I have read that some people have used a Rainforest Cafe card at T-Rex. I just didn't want to take a chance.

Now hopefully the card will get to me before my trip! I ordered it a few weeks before Christmas and nothing yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though!

On a related note...

Can anyone confirm that Safari Club members get the 10% off entrees or free appetizer when eating at T-Rex. I tried to decipher the Landry's/T-Rex/Rainforest Cafe websites and I believe it said that it applied at "select" Landry's restaurants.

Yes, we were able to get 10% off with the Safari Club Membership. We used it shortly after the restaurant opened and it wasn't a problem

We have ordered specifically RFC gift cards, and received Landrys. We had no problem using it. Do order it at least a couple months before you go to be sure you get it in time. I usually order mine as soon as I have enough points, and then have it when I need it.

Yes. We were also able to use a safari club coupon. As long as it doesn't say only valid at RFC you can use coupons that are emailed to you or mailed to you as part of the safari club.
