T-Rex Cafe?

How is T-Rex Cafe? How is the food? Is it very similar to RFC? DH thinks that T-Rex Cafe is basically another version of RFC with Dinosaurs. I really wanna try T-Rex Cafe, but if it's to much like RFC, we will probably skip it this trip coming up.

I ate there a couple of month ago and the food wasnt half bad. I had the country fried steak and my gf had the lasanga. Im gonna say it was not half bad at all. I love the look of the place and the kids loved it too. In fact I might go there this weekend coming up

There's quite a few threads reviewing TRex, so you can search around and I think you'll find a lot of different answers. Yes, it is just like RFC, but with Dinosaurs, but VERY cool!
Definately worth checking out!
I'd say we did not care for the food as much as RFC...
we had the quesadillas, and they were just ok, not too flavorful.
We also had the chicken sandwich in the fried pizza dough, and we didn't care for it, but I think it was just personal taste. It was really spicy which we didn't expect it to be. Our service was okay.
It was probably our least favorite meal of our trip, but glad to have the chance to see it.

My problem with our dinner was that we were seated in the Ice Cave room, which is REALLY cool, but the blue/purple lights gave me a really bad headache, as I get migraines and the light was not good for me over time.
I had a feeling about this when we were seated and should have asked to be moved.
The meteor showers are cool too!
I'd go to look through it or have an appetizer if we go again, but that would be it.

We ate there this January and my family liked it a lot. My kids got the chicken fried steak and they emptied their plates! My husband had a fried shrimp dish which he said was very good and we tried their french onion soup which had a large crouton (like garlic bread) in it... really flavorful. I had the wooly mammoth chicken dish which I thought was really good for a chain restaurant. Personally, I liked it better than Rainforest but my family like both equally.

Were going in August but my son & my Parents went in December and loved it. They said they food was really good. I can't wait to go. You can also see some people's video's of it on you tube.

We found the food and service better at T-Rex than RFC. We went over Thanksgiving, not long after they first opened.

We ate here in early December and liked it. I thought the food was better than RFC, but we just stuck with sandwiches- nothing fancy.

It is a really fun atmosphere though!

I love that chicken sandwich. Very tasty. While the burgers and such may be comparable to RFC, many of the other dishes are unique to T-Rex. My wife likes the chicken tortellini. We probably won't go back to RFC and instead only visit T-Rex
