T Rex Cafe - official date

I don't think I've seen this posted anywhere and I know a lot of people are curious. I was just checking my disney visa balance and looked at the special offers section and found this:

FYI -

Just called Disney Dining today to make a reservation for T-Rex and they told me they will not be taking reservations for this restaurant even after it opens. I then called DD again and another CM also stated the same information. Can anyone else confirm this?

T-Rex is not a Disney restaurant, but is owned by Landry's Restaurants, who also own the Rainforest Cafe.

The DTD Rainforest Cafe does not take reservations through Disney. One must call RFC directly to make reservations there. (Although you can make reservations for the RFC at AK through Disney).

T-Rex, according to information received from some posters who contacted them directly, will operate like DTD's Rainforest. When they are taking reservations, you'd have to contact T-Rex directly to make them. It's also been posted that T-Rex will not be taking any reservations (except maybe large groups) until sometime in 2009. Until then it will take walk-ins only.
