T-Rex cafe for son's b'day-cake there or resort?

I'm trying to decide the best way to celebrate DS's 7th b'day. We're having dinner at T Rex cafe and they don't do Disney cakes there. So my choices are: bring one from outside (and if so, from where?), have one delivered to our room at Poly for after dinner, or just get one of the desserts at T-rex and they will put a candle in it and sing. The last choice is my least favorite because their dessert choices aren't the best, are super expensive and my son doesn't like to be the center of attention with a bunch of strangers.

Anyone have some good ideas for me?

Oh I would defanitely order the extiction dessert and put candles on it! Its huge! So yummy! Its 4 BIG pieces of chocolate cake with caramel on it and several scoops of vanilla ice cream and if I remember right there is some chocolate sauce or carmel added to that. They build it like a volcano and even put dry ice in a shaker cup in the middle to make it look like its smoking! Plus that would be so much easier than carrying in a cake and cheaper too! Id say it would feed atleast 4 or 5. Ordering a a cake and even having it delivered to your room is gonna be at the least $25 but I believe more than that.

If your son likes chocolate this will be neat for him! We love Trex so much DH and I have an ADR for next Fri night just the two of us!

Our baby just celebrated his 3rd birthday at T-Rex last month on July 4th. We were too full from dinner to order the Extinction, so we just did the cupcake/candle, and he was thrilled.

Later that night, we got ice cream! We really enjoyed T-Rex - food was good! Happy Birthday to your son!

Ok, maybe we will do that. Yeah, he said it would feed at least 3 people but since 2 are little people I bet we even have leftovers..sounds like a cool dessert.
