Is my information correct, These two restuarants don't take ADR's?

Anybody been lately? Likey or no likey?

TIA

Eliza

T-Rex takes reservations- but you have to call them directly not through the regular ADR line.

Big River is just walk up. (and for a place called big river it sure is small. )

Big River Grille is awesome! This is from my last TR:

We then wanted to go to the Big River Grille & Brewing Works for dinner at the Boardwalk Inn. DD19 & DSonIL wanted to check out the resort as they booked their honeymoon there for next year. It is truly gorgeous. We walked around a little then checked in for dinner. They do not take reservations here but we were seated immediately. We had a nice table by the window and could look out onto the Boardwalk while we dined. The restaurant looked about half empty. Our waitress was a delightful girl and since DH didn't know what the beers would taste like he asked her opinion. She told him some detail on each one and then he went with a coke as he was still unsure of what their beer would taste like. When our drinks were served, she brought DH a sample of one of the beers that she thought he may like. He ordered one then. DD17 & I ordered the ribs. We both agreed that they were the best we've ever had. DD17 orders ribs everywhere so for her to say that – it really means something. DSonIL ordered the mahi mahi and it was also delish. All 6 of us were eating off of each others plates the whole way through this meal because everything was delectable. I highly recommend this restaurant and we all believe it was the best meal of the trip. DD19 had the hazelnut chicken and it was to die for. She said she must have it again on their honeymoon. DD's friend had the chicken alfredo and it was also good.

I'm so glad I read this. We were considering BRG, but were unsure. I think we are going to try it. Thanks.... :goodvibes

I like Big River Grille alot. I happen to live in a city that have two Big River Grilles. I love there food.

Maybe we are in the minority, but when we went to BRG last fall we did not like it. It was about 8:30 PM and it was crowded, so that could have made a difference. There were just two of us - we were seated fairly quickly, but then basically ignored. We had wanted to eat here for years, but never had the chance, so I was really disappointed. We just ordered burgers, but everything took forever - and frankly I think they either lost our order or forgot about us. This is just my opinion, and I am glad that we tried it so I would know, but I don't think we will go there again anytime real soon.

I'm sorry to read of your bad experience. Maybe it was the time, but still your waitress should have been attentive.

We are early eaters and usually eat between 5-6. It's rare we ever see a crowded restaurant.
