T-Day Cruisers 2011, November 19-26th, 2011

Thank you all for the Welcome. Mean Queen I think I remember your family or at least your username :thumbsup2

Lisa I need to go through and find all the pictures of Mason and Jessica through the years....it will be amazing to see how they have grown.

I do not know if anyone else will be joining this thread late, but they have until Oct 30 if they want to participate in FE's.....Michelle was the one I knew might be coming along.

Sorry to be impatient....just where my OCD kicks in. If I can get this tied up and finished, then I won't have anxiety over it and can move on to FE gifts.:thumbsup2

I am sorry!!! It has been nuts at work this week! I will hop on and see what our cabin is, must be assigned by now!!! :thumbsup2 And I will measure wrists tomorrow!!!

Hello all,
We will be joining you all on this Cruise. Thanks Chuck and Lisa for helping us decide. We were torn between three dates, this Halloween, and Christmas.

We have done Halloween which is tons of fun and Lisa reminded me that this is really a tradition. We have done it for I think this is the 6 year. So we decided to book Thanksgiving. Plus no pulling our daughter out of school and only two days off of work for me.

It is myself Michelle
My husband John
and Jessica (7) who has been bugging us to book her a cruise for three weeks....she will be happy when she gets home from school.

We would love to join the FE exchange if possible. We should be on deck 5 and we have a tentative room number. It will be finalized next week (I think)

So excited to sail with the Turkey Gang again.

Welcome Michelle!!!

We are so glad you are coming...someone has to keep Chuck & Lisa in line...:lmao: Just Kidding!

PM me this information, and I will send an email with the link to the FE list -

Names, ages, and email address. Cabin number, and tell me if you would like to receive changes/upgrades to cabins at port via email or text. If it is text, please include your phone number so that I can get them to you.

Also, I am doing a survival type bracelet for one of my FE gifts. Can you also include wrist measurements around your wrist at the bone? Thanks!

Lori

ok I guess I misunderstood the closing date deadline as "early october" was discussed in at least one post.

my FE gifts were a bit labor intensive (as I started them when the list was small and since then it tripled in size). Not everyone will end up with one of those now as my November weekends are currently booked and I dont seem to have enough time during the week these days to work on them.

am looking forward to the cruise!! it will be here before we know it!

Renee,

I think we've only added 1, maybe two at the most in October. :scared1:

No worries, just do what you can do. We will all love whatever you decide, and nobody will know what the others are getting anyway!

Do you guys think they will be showing the new Muppet movie on our sailing?

thanks I might be able to swing something... I just have to get crackin!!! LOL

I did start a second batch last week and I think I factored in a few extras with that batch so I may be ok. (I might just ahve to rethink giving one per person vs one only per child vs. one or 2 per family of the one item... every family will def get one but it might not be exactly what I originally intended)

:) of course Hubby wants to know how I intend to transport all these goodies!! LOL

no worries!! we did book the dolphin encounter for my DD. she will be sooooo excited esp. since we just went to see Dolphin Tale what is it about dolphins and little girls?

Sorry I haven't been around in a while-it's crazy busy here for the next month. I just wanted to say...THE CRUISE DOCS CAME TODAY!!!:banana: It must be getting very close now.

Ours too! So exciting :yay::woohoo::yay:

Well there are plenty of cabins still available, so we may wind up with a couple more additions to the FE list, but I think we are close to done.

We are doing the America's Cup 10 meter regatta in St. Maarten which is arguably the best rated of all excursions, but not necessarily for the faint of heart. Last time we went, it was a breezy day and we were going fast enough that we were standing up when we were sitting down...ie we were leaning that far over...but it was great fun..

For St. Thomas, we are definitely not doing the official cable car or Coral World again...we have done both and while Lisa/Mason like the view on the cable car, the stuff on top is not worth the money to me and Coral World was very definitely over rated....but there is always the shopping, though my wife has done better for jewelry in St. Maarten and, to some extent, Grand Cayman....

Chuck:cool1:

Chuck - would you recommend the cable car for a 5 year old? We are having a hard time finding something to do that will keep kids happy from 5 to 14. I also want to see the islands because I haven't done this itinerary yet.

Our cruise docs came too!:banana::banana::banana:

Really ready for a disney fix. Even though we had an amazing trip on the Med this summer there is just something about the Caribbean cruises, getting to go to Castaway and a couple of days at WDW afterward that make this trip a whole different animal and everyone is looking forward to it.

our cruise docs came yesterday too!! very excited. still --would like to have seen a general itenerary for the week (i.e. to let me know what night is the formal dress up night what night is pirate night etc.) we were going to plan a Palo night (and some spa services) but didnt want to miss out on something. as a type A over planner all this secrecy as to the daily activity list is driving me a little batty...

:)
is it too early to start packing?? :)

ooo and I am at day 80 on the p90x program (to be followed by jillian michaels 30 day burn) to get my rear end into bathing suit shape. so far so good!!! LOL

and I had to laugh--I had this total AH HA! moment yesterday. About a week ago, my Dh and I were having a disagreement over how many times our 8 year old has been to disney--we were having a hard time trying to recollect the various trips and how old she was for each one. then yesterday when I was posting on this thread I looked at my signature line and went --do'h-- all of our trips are listed right there!! LOL!

so the current offical count is 7 times to WDW, 1 to DL and 3 to DVC's HHI.

this will be her (and our) first Disney cruise!

she's a real pro....

Welcome to OCD Planners Anon.

is it too early to start packing?? :) Um...No! That in part is what makes us OCD. I'm always thinking if I don't pack this now, I'll forget it. :rolleyes1
