T-5 days and my DD5 gets sick

Figures, right? I'm almost positive that it's just allergies. The only symptoms she has is a sometimes runny nose and a cough that will NOT stop. Other than that, she's as active and happy as ever. She's taking her normal allergy medicine and I've given her Children's Delsym but no relief. I don't want to take her to the doctor as I'm sure they won't do anything unless she starts showing other symptoms. And, with my luck, she'd pick up some other kind of sickness from the doctor's office.

Any suggestions. I'd hate for her to be like this when we are at DW.

Just make sure she gets a ton of sleep, eats well and drinks fluids. If she isn't running a fever and acting normal I would not take her in. Good luck.

Just think of it like she's getting it out of the way now so she's fine for the trip.

Both my kids got sick starting Thursday and we leave tomorrow. Pretty much runny nose/stuff nose and coughing. Otherwise ok. Hopefully no issues tomorrow on the plane.

She's actually much better today. I set up her humidifier in her room, propped her up on two pillows, and gave her another dose of Delsym. Now this will sound weird but I read about it online and had several tell me to try it. I also put Vicks vapor rub on the heels of her feet and put socks on her before she went to bed. She slept all night and coughed just a little this morning. It may have been just a coincidence but.... Definitely taking some Vicks with us for the trip. Woohooo!!!

Different pollen and allergens in Orlando. If it is allergies it should clear up within 24 hours of a change in scenery.

We use Vick's too, sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't but definitely bring it along! If she gets sick now by the time you leave she should be on the mend.
