Well, here we are at T-3 and I never thought it would finally get this close! Our little troop consists of:
Me: Disney Dad and trip planner (33 going on about 13 I think)
DW: sweet wife and mother (38, can't believe I told that, but looks younger than me for sure!)
DS: 7yo who is our official map reader and guide
DD: 4yo that is a little, messy, Lizzie McGuire.
This trip was not originally planned to be for this summer. We took the kids for their first WDW visit last June and stayed at the WL while my SIL, BIL, niece, & nephew camped at FW. A very nice Christmas bonus allowed us to plan a surprise for the kids since we had such a great time last June. A little research, and I managed to rent DVC points to stay at BWV for a week! Booked my airfare in December/January timeframe and finally told the kids at Easter.
We are looking forward to only being the four of us this year. Don't get me wrong, the eight of us last summer was a lot of fun, but I did all the planning....so it wasn't easy. Returning this year we know what the kids' both like and can really take our time and enjoy the week.
Details:
Depart IAH (Houston 'intergalactic' airport) 7:47 a.m. 5/31
Arrive 11 a.m. at MCO to be picked up by yourride.
7 nights at the BWV in a preferred view studio.
Going to use the UPH since we plan on hitting a park for at least part of every day for 8 straight days
We have a few PS's already....Princess storybook breakfast, Chef Mickey, and Plaza (a spectro night).
I am planning a "park of the day" to start each day with and be totally flexible after that with the exception of our PS's and firework/parades we want to see
Return flight at 3:30 pm 6/7
I am already packed with the exception of razor and toothbrush, and the kids' are too. DW is always the last one packed! We will have to leave the house at 4:30 a.m. Saturday to get to the airport after having DD dance recital the night before!!!
Hopefully the next few days will pass quickly!
