Our family is very excited to travel on the Treasure this fall. Because of medical reasons (lupus and a history of skin cancer) most of us can't be out in the sun. Can anyone recommend Tortola Shore Excursions or things to do that aren't sitting on the beach or a long boat ride in the sun to snorkel in the sun? It's a Halloween cruise so anything spooky would be amazing. We also love history, like learning about pirates, and enjoy crafting/art.

If there aren't any good shore excursions, is there anything special going on if we stay onboard the ship?

(We have a tour with a private guide who has promised to keep us out of the sun on St. Thomas. We'll be snorkeling from the beach for a short time while the sun isn't at peak there.)

No personal experience (we went to The Baths when we were just there), but Viator lists several options like pottery class, candle making class, arts & culture tour, food experiences, and hiking in Mt. Healthy / Bat Cave. Not sure how much of the hiking may be in the sun, but you could check with the tour provider.

There won't be anything 'special' going on on the ship but they will have lots of activities (like they do the other day). There may not be quite as many as say, a sea day, but still plenty to do onboard.
