Vegas week is difficult...so many mass cuts. It's hard to see some of the early stand-outs go home.
I thought Danielle Dominguez was really good, until she got kicked in the head. Poor thing didn't have a chance after that head injury.
Cyrus
killed his solo dance and has the confidence/potential to go far in the competition. I am definitely rooting for him to be in the top 20.

However, I was disappointed to see his buddy from the Dragon House crew just walk away and not even try...
For a minute there I didn't know if Amelia Lowe (silent movie girl) was going to make it.

Very surprised she was asked to dance for her life. She did an amazing job and won Sonya over.
I was so glad to see Debbie Allen call Rachel's strip-tease OUT... "put on more clothes and dance!"

Agree with everything you said. I was sorry to see Danielle get cut, especially since her accident happened helping out another dancer. I would have hoped they'd cut her some slack for that.
I was surprised to see the ballet dancer with the purple bangs who received so many complements for her choreography during the group stage get cut. I didn't think she did so poorly on the contemporary choreography that her other performances wouldn't save her. And considering that there are so many contemporary female dancers, you would think that a ballet dancer would fill a much needed niche.
Looking at the girls who made it through Vegas week, they are almost all contemporary/jazz with the exception of the two ballroom girls, Whitney and Lindsay and Janelle, the belly dancer. No b-girls this year, which is too bad. The guys have more variety with hip hop, ballroom and tap mixed in with the group of contemporary dancers. Did Cole Horibe make it through?
I so agree about Cyrus, especially his attitude. I respect the popper with the long dreads that backed out with apologies to the judges, but was surprised that that one of Cyrus' Dragon House cut out without a word.
This is going to be a good season. I just wish that there was more variety with the girls. Also, a warning. There will be some interruptions during the Olympics, so keep an eye on your TV Schedule. This is what I've seen posted so far:
