Syracuse & Parking?

We may be flying out of Syracuse, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any parking options??

Is it best to park at the airport?

Or are there any good hotel/parking deals?

Wazoo we always fly out of Syracuse but, we take a shuttle from Kingston to the airport. Where are you? There is a man here who does door to door service for our entire area.

I've sent you some options but, here is the information about parking at the airport from the Hancock International Airport website....the shuttles are far more expensive but, we really were happy we did it. Call the second one as it seems less than the one we took, altho Tony's was sooo reliable. We use our car for work and we really did NOT want to leave it that long in Syracuse. We were worried about it getting broken into late at night etc...not having to drive back home after being at WDW all week was bliss! We slept all the way home nearly.

What does it cost to park at the Airport?
Current rates for parking in the open lot are $6.50 per day (6-24 hours) and $8.00 per day(12-24 hours) in the parking garage. Short term parking is also available at pro-rated fees. Allright Parking Syracuse, Inc., manages the parking facilities at Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Methods of payment accepted include cash, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and American Express) and personal checks. Personal checks are cleared through Telecheck. Allright Parking Syracuse can be reached at (315) 455-2337.

We paid the $50+ for the parking garage and were very happy with the service. We drove down the night before (even though its only a 2.5-3 hour drive) since we had an early morning flight.

I think 60% of the cars had Ontario plates.

We were happy with the price for parking and the level of security. The Syracuse Police have a large presence at the airport and do an excellent job!

we've stayed at the Best Western at the airport with their park n' fly rates, 2x.

Never had a problem with the car. very convenient. Only left it for 1 week. Not sure if you're allowed to park there for more than a week.

Your location says "Alberta" do you fly out of Syracuse to Orlando?

We stay at the Quality Inn Buckley Rd. the night before. Whatever rate you pay your long term parking is included. Just your basic standard hotel, they also offer a free shuttle to the airport and continental breakfast. We have never had a problem with our vehicle being damaged, broke into etc.but that is why we have insurance and CAA. In March 06 we left our brand new Grand Caravan in the parking lot for 18 days, all for the price of our one night in the hotel for $62.10. Great price and service from this hotel.!! I have already booked my room for Feb 07.

Alright, we decided to go Best Western, since it is the closest, and I got a pretty good rate.

BUT, I'm posting because I recommend when booking with ANY Best Western to call the LOCAL hotel number.

The 1-800 number has the worst customer service! You can get answers, but wow, everyone I talked to sounded like they REALLY REALLY hated their jobs! I talked to four different people and NONE of them were pleasant!

Any updates on this? Flying out of Syracuse in March -8:30 a.m. flight or so, so we will spend the night in a hotel in Syracuse. I called the Best Western - sounds good. How far is the Quality Inn?

Quality Inn or Comfort Inn Airport are only minutes away. We use them as we need to leave our vehicle for 18 or 19 days and they offer the best deal. We have stayed every year at the Quality Inn since 1995 and have never had a problem with our vehicle being broke into, damaged etc. It may not be the most pleasant but for the price, for one night who cares!!!

Just booked the Holiday Inn on Electronics Parkway. About 4 miles from airport with free shuttle. $99 USD covers 1 night stay and 9 nights parking with shuttles to & from. A friend stayed at BW in September and really did not care for the hotel.

PixieDustTink - what shuttle do you take from Kingston to Syracuse. I drove to Syracuse for my Dec 05 WDW trip and am think about doing the same for my Aug 07 trip. I would like to take a shuttle to Syracuse rather than drive.
